Ward worked him pretty easily. Of course he is gonna say things like this. But at the end of the day Ward is top dog.

The lack of entertainment factor for the casual fan is why he will never make a load of money or have a pile of fans, not having flaws is boring for most people.

He is a brilliant boxer though.

it's true, he is a very skilled fighter but much of his style is boring and will never lend itself to the kind of excitement the casual fan desires.

    He's right.

Ward is a very skilled, but his style puts people off. Imagine if Ward had been German :yep

Seemed like a fair and balanced assessment of Ward....

    I like Froch interviews.

    He's right: Styles make fights.

Froch does kinda have a point. . . I mean, nobody wants to watch a guy hold 5 times a round. . . Ward was REALLY tying Froch up, and slowing the pace down over the last 3 rounds or so. . Should have been warned. . .

He is a brilliant boxer, but that holding shyt has gotta go. . . He should fight more like he fought against Kessler. . I thought he looked like ten million bucks in that fight, head butts notwithstanding. . .

And Froch has also showered Ward with praise (as have I), so you know he's just keeping it real.

Ward fights = oatmeal; wholesome and healthy - one for those who appreciate the sweet science
Froch fights = candy; exciting but unhealthy - one for the casual fan who likes action

Best of both? For me, Bute.:good

Eh, I'm not sure about that first statement regarding the way Ward fights. . . He holds too much - that's not sweet science. . . I'd say he's more like a plain chicken breast - you don't really want to eat it plain, but you do anyway. . . But he leaves something to be desired - he just gives it to ya straight up PLAIN - no grease, no butter. . . Not even some BBQ sauce, or honest mustard to dip it in. . . But once you get done eating it, it gets the job done.

For true fans of the sweet science see Pernell Whitaker. . . Hell, even Mayweather.

Yeah, ok... maybe Ward is like bad-tasting medicine - good for you, but you don't like it.

Lol. . . yeah. . . Maybe like nyquill :) Haha, I guess you're oatmeal analogy was pretty much on point as well, but I just find oatmeal DELICIOUS! Especially steel cut oats. . .

I do agree that Bute brings the best of both worlds - that cerebral, intelligent style where you can just feel him thinking of when, and where to pick his next shot. . Brilliant timing, surgical precision. . Then he also brings that aspect where he'll let them hands go with a blazing fast combination standing solid in the pocket. . . And he DAMN SURE is a killah! He'll finish you off!

Bute is "insert healthy, great tasting food of your choice"! LOL LOVE the food analogies!
