Froch to Announce Opponent this Monday at 12.30

It can't have been that hard to make surely

 

People actually complaining about Froch taking a gimme. Wow. He's been fighting Elite fighters for 5 years straight

 

It probably would have been easy, if froch would have given pavlik 60% and flown to Arkansas to fight in the sports hall of pavliks trailer park.

But since that wasn't on the cards I'm not surprised it didn't come off.

For all the **** pavlik talked I just don't think he was willing to fly, that said there is a video interview from just after the bute fight where pavlik is saying he would happily fly to England to fight.

 

Talk is cheap maybe Pavlik wants the fight but the people around him probably don't.

 

He's fighting a guy Glen Johnson stopped. Lol

The 'deserves an easy fight' argument might have been relevant when champions were fighting 20 times a year, but not when they have 6 months off between defences. Really underwhelming fight.

I suppose Froch should have gone up to cruiserweight and fought Dennis Lebedev as a stay busy opponent, that might have kept people happy.

 

I might be wrong here guys (I've been on Morphine for weeks, so memory is non-existent), but didn't Matchroom say they were going to make a 'major' announcement about British boxing at this press conference as well? (the original one before it was rescheduled).
