They'll need to buy their way out of this rematch clause.

I'm not sure why opponents are so reticent to face Bute, his aura has well and truly gone. Unless the £££ is fixed for that particular fight?

Bute couldn't get opponents - Kessler wouldn't, Pavlik wouldn't, Ward neither.

I can see it being a bus driver unfortunately. Someone who knows they're coming to England to be beaten up for short money.

He possibly meant A good opponent, who is available and that would take the fight......

I wouldn't be surprised if they don't announce it tomorrow..

No, Eddie Hearn wants a stake in the opponent. Matchroom have an investment in the IBF belt, they want to keep it.

As I've said before: welcome to the reality of negotiating outside the Super Six. Carl Froch had his opponents on plate for so long. Now the good fighters are doing their own thing.

I don't see why you'd avoid Froch though.

The money will be good and he's beatable. Especially if you're competent on the inside and can take a shot.

**** it, give Kenny Anderson a shot if they are struggling to find an opponent, he will get knocked out but he will make it entertaining for how ever long it lasts, got to be better than a pregnant Latvian.

Still no whispers from what i've heard I'm starting to think they're not gonna have anything to announce tomorrow in regards to Froch.. The date might yet be pushed back

Groves is good, available and would probably take the fight for the right amount of dosh

What about Degale isnt he with matchroom now ?

I thought Degale had signed with fat mick on c5?

I'd rather Froch fought Degale or Groves than some of the other names that have been put around.. Apparently Degale wouldnt even spar Froch tho. So not sure he would fight him

Wrong Jack is right, it`s all about that rematch clause Hearn signed thats why Hearn needs options on this fight.Nobody decent wants to agree to have their first defence in Montreal against Bute.Interbox did a really good job on that contact,i suppose Eddie had no choice, it just means this opponent will be against somebody who will turn up for a payday not expecting to beat Froch.

    Strange though.

If I'd just beaten Froch in his own backyard I'd fancy Bute as my next fight.

You've confirmed my point. What the **** are you taking about?

Eddie will not let his stake in the Bute rematch go. Why? Work it out. Eddie doesn't care who fights Bute in March as long as Matchroom can make money from it.
