Froch said it himself that in the first fight he stood off after landing and this time he'll be non-stop and unrelenting. We all saw in the last round that Kessler was ****ed and Froch could have gone on like that for a few more rounds so I expect Froch to start the barrage earlier and take advantage of Kessler's clumsy footwork and overwhelm him late on.

I do think Kessler will slightly better this time in terms of punch delivery and he'll be a bit smoother than the first fight (I think he's more settled mentally now than in the first fight which was about restoring pride after Ward) so he might hurt Froch more and expose the crude underbelly that still exists in Froch. Ultimately though I expect Carl to get to him.

I might back the Froch stoppage in an accumulator. Wouldn't risk much on it though.

The closer this fight gets, the more I'm erring towards it being a true 50-50 battle, despite me thinking that Kessler looked pretty much shot against Green.

If Froch can keep Kessler at a distance he's comfortable with, often enough for long enough, I'd favour him quite strongly.

If Kessler gets inside, as he can do, Froch isn't anywhere near the same level of fighter, at that range, then it's just a question of whether Kessler will be able to take Carl's shot's at this stage.

He's still unquestionably a hard *******, but being decked heavily by Average Allan Green was particularly alarming for me.

The 2007, primed Kessler would tear Froch a new one, he was superb. The spells of inactivity didn't help him, and I think a move to 175 at some stage ought to have happened. He looked a division above Calzaghe at the weigh-in.

Froch mid-late rounds stoppage here, Kessler is slightly over the hill and Frochy is still in his prime.

Froch is going to get that Dildo-Esque beak of his blown off.

Kessler is a tough, tough man. Froch is getting it. This will be Kesslers last hurrah!

  9. Kessler is past it

    but he is still dangerous

Hell green dropped him and could have finished him if he never took foot off gas

I'm really not sure, although I do think Froch will follow up more this time where he seemed to hold back a few times in first fight, apart from at the end.

I can see a similar outcome to the Bute fight, but i also know Kessler is one tough son of a *****....

    I agree with this.

I do think Kessler will be in better shape mentally, physically and spiritually for the rematch then he was for the first fight as he seemed all over the place then especially as i don't think he'd properly recovered from the Andre Ward loss.

I have said it before and i will say it again that i expect Mikkel Kessler to KNOCKOUT Carl Froch on May 25th. I know that goes against the majority thinking about this fight but it's the way i see it after studying recent fights and their respective styles and without bigging myself up i do have a pretty good track record in picking winners.

Where did all this Kessler is over the hill tripe come from? He is much better under his new coach, more offensive weapons, more refined, looks to even have more one punch power.

Froch carried the heavier shots in the first fight but didn't capitalise on any openings and Kessler's work rate won him the day.

One thing that has returned to Kessler is a bit of sharpness in his movement but he still needs to move his head more like he used to. He has also taken some digs over recent times so how well he will continue to take them is open to debate. One thing that has never left him, however, is the speed at which he can deliver that right hand.

We can expect both fighters to find the target in this fight and if you watched the first fight you'd fancy Froch is carrying the heavier hands. However, Kessler is a true champ and a gent. Froch blamed the ash cloud, hometown decision et etc, but Kessler didn't reveal certain problems he carried into that fight.

I have a feeling the Cobra is going to be surprised by how hard he is going to get hit in this fight.
