Kessler will not stop Froch. End of.
This fight is made for Froch, Kesslers at the end of his great career but this is his last big pay-cheque, hence the reason its PPV.
It wouldnt be a surprise to me if Froch KOs him early on with a barrage of punches similar to that he offloaded on Bute.

I think Kessler is "semi-shot" - I've seen nothing in his comeback fights to suggest otherwise. Froch will stop him middle to late.

I think Kessler carries the bigger punch in the fight, the only way Froch stops Kessler is on his feer with a barrage of punches and we get an Ian john lewis stoppage since froch moved up to world title level he has only knocked down Taylor and Mack, Bute was never knocked down allthough taking bombs and the stoppage was good

Bute was all but down in the fifth. The ropes held him up, hence the count.

Agree, even though both have proven to have good chins they have looked a bit shaky too.

I'm still convinced had Ward not broken his hand in the 6th or 7th round of his fight with Froch he could well have stopped Froch as he was getting very roughed up before Ward had to stop throwing after the 8th round.

Froch can take punches he see's all day but it's the ones thrown with speed and angles that give him trouble like the Taylor knockdown, Dirrell and Ward gave him.

Kessler seems to have a problem with his balance a few fights ago which but looked close to his best against Magee so may have just peaked again at the right time.

To Carl Froch's credit, his defence is not that bad! He does not get pinged with a barrage of punches, not even Andre Ward could land combinations on him. Carl Froch may have slow hand speed, and struggle with shortening his punches and depending in and out of straight punches to hooks fluently! But he is very athletic, Carl Froch has decent athleticism when he want to apply it! This is what makes him awkard. He likes his sprinting Carl Froch, and on video tape looks quite athletic and fast, most boxers implementing running in their training but lets face it..? Most of them are ****.

Only David Haye, Floyd Mayweather, Carl Froch has impressed me with their cross training.

What really lets Froch down is his hand speed, and co-ordination "UPPER BODY WISE"...

Because like i have just said, he is quite athletic, agility wise, speed wise, co-ordination wise on his feet.

He has never been a plodder.

So where exactly does this "shot" Kessler rank in the division?

I think its more likely that Kessler will be too strong for Froch. Kessler is the better all round fighter and if either is going to be able to look at the first fight and see changes in what they could do to make in a rematch, then carry out the changes it will be Kessler.

If Kessler turns up that 'roided then I'll pick him to beat Froch again.

I can't make up my mind in this fight, one day I'm seeing it as Kessler will win TKO, next day I see Kessler being stopped.
These two fighters both have heavy hands, iron beards, and is not afraid of going to war.
Both are friends outside the ring.
However I think that Jimmy Montoya, have given Kessler more weapons.
I don't believe either of them are going to be surprised by some new tactic's or how hard each other hits.
I believe that without Kesslers eye injury, its going toward a Kessler win.
But then again tomorrow I might think its going to be a Froch win.

Any version of Kessler beats Bute. Kessler treated Andrade like a rag doll, who in turn had Bute out on his feet. Why Ward didn't want the glory of beating an undefeated fellow champion with an unexposed but patently soft underbelly is baffling. Well actually it isn't. It then fell nicely for Froch and he did the business well which has given Hearn an earlier than expected ppv opportunity. Whether it really was an opportunity for ppv is another matter though.
