Froch: "Unlike Calzaghe, I'm Not Interested In Defending My Title Against Nobodies"

I like Froch he goes in for a war and its entertaining, hes a good boxer and time will tell, i think he will win saturday nite but would get boxed up against Joe.C unless he knocks him out he would never win on points thats for sure, he certainly knocks one out everynite against Joe . C he is a little obsessed.

 

Froch would be better served fighting cupcakes, or he'll have a very short reign. He's just not talented enough to consistently win against top competition. The fact that he was life and death with a guy who was barely in the top 20 proves that. He might beat Taylor based on strengths and weaknesses, but there are a lot of guys out there who could beat Froch, so he'd be wise to choose his opponents somewhat carefully.

Calzaghe really wants to see Froch get done, and understandably
so on Joes behalf - as Froch is opening ppls eyes on Joes career..

A 46 yr old Hopkins gives Joe a real shake - arguably wins..

ATG for mine, not a chance, not even nearly a chance..

The beauty of rating boxers is that everyone has different opinons
at the end of the day - and the fact that Joes ATG status is split
down the middle - means that theres a cloud over who he beat - and
when he beat them..

No doubting the quality of a couple of fighters he beat - but they were
well past their prime, speaking of Roy and BHop.

 

Come Saturday, Froch will be without a belt, leaving the US to go back home crying about JC's fault to explain his loss. Pathetic. This guy is a B- at best and because he's 31, he has to call every potential guy to be able to milk the cow, because it will tip soon....even has to cross the Atlantic to defend against his mandatory. He is not even close to any top dog in the SMW and will find out that even a MW can make him look silly. JT is a skilled man with experience against real opposition, Pascal is the only one that Froch can name to his credit, but the guy is C+ or B- at best for now, nothing to brag about. Before he got that paper belt, nobody knew about him outside UK, after Saturday, he will go back to be a local guy with a loud mouth and a punch. SAD

 

Calzaghe would school Froch over 12 rounds almost as badly as he did Lacy.

 

Hopkins is 43 and is in the top ten pound for pound list. This "past it" guy just annihilated probably the best fighter of the middleweight division.

Froch just runs his mouth to get attention in the hope Calzaghe responds and takes him on for a payday. Calzaghe would beat the **** out of Froch easily, as would Bernard Hopkins and Mikkel Kessler for that matter. These guys are a big step above Froch, regardless of whether he beats Taylor or not.

 

JC's resume deserves loads of criticisim but it's a bit rich coming from a nonentity like Froch. Win some fights against top level opponents before shooting his mouth off. Starting with Taylor this Sat.

I'd advise Carl Froch to stop calling Joe out. There is, after all, a slight chance that someday Joe might answer him, and Froch would get slapped into oblivian. I actually chuckle when I think of Carl The Clumsy trying to land flush on Joe Calzaghe.

And for those who may be unaware, I'm the biggest Calzaghe hater on ESB!

 

I'm tired of hearing Froch is the only one having the courage to face the tops of the division outside his country. Taylor will be the first top he faces and he is his mandatory. Froch didn't choose him, got it?

Froch has some nerve talking about Calslappy fighting bums when he nearly got bashed up by a nobody from Canada, who probably wouldn't even scrape the top ten. Let's face it: Froch has no-one on his resume, and he doesn't have the boxing skills to claim he just hasn't had his chance. He's a sloppy fighter with a poor guard, poor reflexes, poor punch accuracy, little or no hand-speed and a distinct lack of a jab or combination-punching ability. He's going to get schooled by a much slicker, much more accomplished fighter in JT, and he'll be left to twiddle his thumbs in Nottingham slugging it out against journeyman after journeyman whilst ITV consistently pander to his non-existent talent.

 

Too true, I'm a Brit and it 's a shame I have to hear this. Hatton wouldn't fight Junior Witter because there's nothing to gain by fighting him, it would be an awkward fight for very little return.

Froch should spend less time obsessing over a retired fighter who would completely humiliate and dominate him for 12 rounds, and concentrate on the people in front of him and improving his arsenal and maybe the public will start to get behind him.

Self belief is one thing, obsession is something else.

Froch would have a hard time with ENZO..let alone Joe.
