What would it benefit DeGale to inflame Froch into a war in sparring? :huh

That could only go horribly wrong for him.

Even if he clearly loses does he still get the rematch in canada?

    Believe so.

There was talk of some odd stipulations, ie if Froch won a certain # of rounds he'd be guaranteed a rematch but would miss out if he fell short of the quota...not sure if that was based on any credible report or just General Forum blather though. :conf

    Ah, cheers.

Does Froch not even have to win by a set number of rounds, then? Just "a win is a win is a win"?

Did figure the GF kiddies were just chatting **** as usual.

Again, shows how nails Froch is. He takes the hard schedules, he's willing to take the short end of the stick even if it means it's he who has to fight twice even if he wins.

The fact he does all this whilst being slower than Saensak and woeful defensively lends even more kudos to him. Not a great fighter and never likely to be, but has the drive of one. If all the top fighters took a Froch-esque approach there would be very little debate about the quality of today's fighters compared to yesteryear, they'd be right up there, even if the best might not be the fighters we figure are the best today.
