About his accomplishments at SMW I have to agree. AA KO'd Miranda and Taylor and lost a DQ to Dirrell. Froch KO'd Robin Reid (over the hill but still) and Taylor, outpointed Pascal and Dirrell, and lost a close decision against Kessler... better resume for Froch, but overall Abahams career outshines Froch's of course. Can Froch knock AA down? Sure he can, and he may even be the toughest guy AA faced up 'till now. But I'm still pretty sure Froch isn't the hardest puncher AA ever faced!
Knowing Froch, he now knows he is beatable, his cloak of invincabilty has gone with his zero. He is a super intelligent guy, his trainer would of told him he cant go on fighting the way he has been and he will become more defensive. I think Froch could be the hardest puncher AA has faced. I think the angles Froch uses are ideal against AA's defence, if he targets the ribs that will drain the power straight outta AA. I honestly feel Froch will win this a lot easier than people think.
Abraham has poor stamina. He doesn't start slow just for fun, it's because he can't fight 12 rounds and he doesn't want to get to the late rounds and get KOed. Froch has great stamina. He'll bring it on early, and force AA to fight 3 minutes a round, stopping him in the late rounds. Remember Froch has great power too.
Froch in a close decision Froch is gonna be ahead after 6 due to Abraham inactivity winning behind a jab and straight right hand Around the 7th or 8th its gonna heat up with Arthur getting out of his shell now this is where the fight will be decided can Froch fight a smart and disciplined fight to his strategy of jab and throw in high volume keeping Arthur in his shell and out gunned or will he get wild fight at close range and get KO'd also can Froch hang on during the Arthur assault if he can weather the storm he will win in a close one
Thinking about this again. I think people are forgetting how one-dimensional Abraham is. He has one style and if that doesn't work, he can't make adjustments. I also don't like the way he gives away rounds hoping he'll land the bingo shot later on. I'm leaning towards Froch. With his reach and power, as long as he doesn't get silly, I can see him marking up AA big time.
I think the last person you want to be in a ring with if you suffer from low output and stamina issues is carl froch. Only way abraham wins is lucky punch as there's no way he is out boxing even froch. Now dirrell beat froch but froch was in the fight and kept it reasonably close whereas abraham looked like a total amateur in there against dirrell. For me I am going for Froch to slowly beat abraham in to a ko/tko.
Honestly, I can't imagine any other outcome but Abraham by KO/TKO (& A very early one, Say before rd# 5)
:good the first opening which froch gives abraham, then abraham will knock him out, i see it happening in the 4th round
I'm honestly stunned people have Abraham to KO Froch over decisioning him. Don't get me wrong, I think he has the ability to do it, he punches like a mule, but stopping Froch? I don't know, man. Froch can still be two or three more wars yet before his jaw fails him.
And why is that strange? The Howard Eastman Abraham faced (34, 5 years ago) had a record of 40-2, with 34KO's with half of them inside 4 rounds. Current Eastman (almost 40 by now) doesn't have much left, but then he had some serious pop in his punches.
Either way i dont think this is going the distance. Got a feeling Arthur is gonna come out faster and harder than before. I want froch to win but the King's the coolest and funniest dude in the tournament
