Froch v Benn Prime for Prime most exciting All British fight of All Time?

Would be a real war prime for prime froch has the better chin and is awkward with great stamina. Benn at his best punched harder, faster hands and could box when he chose to aswell.
Id favor benn just because he was faster and could box very well when he chose.

I seriously doubt stamina plays any part in this one! i'd favor Froch because he had a much better chin so i think he stops Benn before he gets stopped. Although Benn hits way harder than Groves so if he catches Carl he ain't getting up.

Jock McAvoy was the first wrecking machine Britain had at MW/SMW long before Benn.

McAvoy verse Benn would be a great fight in the middleweight or super middleweight division.

the same man who raised Turpin's hand as World's middleweight champion, said "Jock McAvoy was the most merciless, unrelenting fighter we ever had" that quote was made in 1959.

I'd say, as they were both the same weight and killers, McAvoy vs Benn would be the one!

Favour benn in this one. To be fair to carl it was a different game back then...they worked harder for sure...think he was running something like 12-15 miles a day for the mclellan fight. But with the inclusion of sport science nowadays and more effective training methods it would close the gap i would have thought.

Froch's a warrior allright but nigel was a different kind of warrior. I dont think a lot of modern day boxers would cope with what they done back then in my opinion.

He's a changed man nowadays...even though i seen him on some celebrity jungle programme a few years back the bit i seen he was on the verge of knocking some old burd out for something lol...think it was back in his earlier days in ministry or whatever tbf...gave me a laugh anyway.
