Embarrassing for the man who spent months telling everyone he was better than Ward, tougher than Ward and would knock him out. Then not being competitive at all.

Darren Barker did more against Martinez than Froch against Ward because he has actually got some skill and doesnt really solely on chin and 'Being a tough *******'.

Margarito kept pressing forward against Cotto, taking his best shots and putting on pressure. It was still pretty easy for Cotto.I just cant see how you can think it wasnt easy for Ward.

Because it wasn't easy for Ward. winning wide doesn't = fight being easy.I know this because I train myself and Box. Boxing isn't easy even if you're winning, especially with a guy like Froch who never gives up.

And so what about the trash talking, what did you want Froch to say? '

I'm going to start slow leave a leaky defense, fight hard but lose the fight by a wide margin'

    LOL

If being great was so easy, everyone would be great.

Mate, your post is embarrassing. Think about it, there are plenty of "tough *******s" out there but they aren't all two time World Champions with a bronze in the World Amateurs are they? I think Froch must possess at least a little bit of skill eh?

Audley Harrison won a Gold at the Olympics, hes ****.

What skills has Froch got? Genuine question.I respect the guy for willing to fight anyone anywhere but I dont rate him.Just my opinion.
Being slow and ponderous with no defence walking forward taking shots while throwing wild swings isnt skillful.

He didnt need to trash talk at all.Ward didnt,he knew he would have the last laugh in the ring.

What to you is an easy fight? A 20 second 1 round KO? Did Hopkins have it tough against Pavlik for example? How about Froch against Abraham? Was that not easy? Seeing as Pavlik and Abraham went the full 12 it must have been hard.

I hope they're not trying to let Ward/Bute simmer. It'll end up being overcooked. I wanna see that fight NOW damn it!

    Bute beats Froch handily.

From Wards point of view I see why he wouldn't want to take the fight straight away.

Knowing boxing fans, if Ward fights and beats Bute right away everyone says "Bute was all hype, who did he ever beat apart from an old Glenn Johnson . . .". Therefore, what is actually a very good, possibly career defining win is downplayed to mean a fraction of what it should.

However, if Bute goes away and beats Froch or Kessler convincingly, he cements his place as a true contender for the number one spot in the eyes of ALL fans, there is a lot more on that fight and he'll get the credit he deserves for the win.

    Well, that's my opinion anyway.

Yes a round one KO Tyson style would be the definition of an easy fight.

fighting 12 rounds is never easy, Fighting 12 rounds and winning most of the rounds is not easy either especially against tough and determined opposition like Carl. It takes a special talent and very hard training to achieve something like this, Ward did not have an easy night on Saturday, won in dominating fashion? yes, but was it ever easy for him? no. that is a ridiculous statement and discreditting Carl and Ward at the same time.

I respectfully disagree. Ward didn't have a hard time at all.

I think what you meant to say to begin with is 'Ward beat Carl with relative ease'
He certainly did not beat him with ease.
