Cheers dude, funny how the ref continued the count and didn't announce it as a KO until well after Froch had started celebrating his win and poeple had climbed in the ring...? Saw someone on the general forum complaining that Froch should have been DQ'd for his promotor jumping in the ring before the ref officially waved the fight off, I can sort of see his point though the result was inevitable. Would be good to see Froch rematch Kessler now, I reckon he could beat him now.
Yeh, that's why they came running in, then he started counting. :huh Round 1 & 2 were fairly even IMO. Round 3 Froch bashed him silly. Round 4 Bute did well to give him some back. And round 5, well Froch nailed him good and proper. Good fight, though I still think Kessler would beat Froch in a rematch, but would be a great fight. I won a bit of coin too. :happy

Agree - after having read some of the talk in the general about this fight I expected to see Froch pasting Bute for every second of every round, but the first 2 rounds were very even and almost uneventful...Froch never really opened up on him until the 3rd (didn't see the 4th). Good stoppage by the ref - I later read that Bute's corner had thrown in the towel but still confused as to why the ref counted Bute out, unless it was to confirm a KO result even though Boxrec shows it as a TKO? Froch rocked Bute's head back twice while he was on the ropes there, he was out on his feet.
That happened in another fight Kirkland-Molina. Molina was in front Kirkland knocked him down in the 10th near the end of the round the ref started counting Molina was up by 5 his cornerman entered the ring when the round ended but the ref was giving him a standing count and he got disqualified. Kessler was troubled by Green in the 1st round before that hellacious punch that nearly killed Green. I think Froch beats him too. Look forward to seeing it.
Do you remember Corrales getting coached by Goosen on the apron when he spat his gum Shield out v Castillo in their first fight Stiff ?
Wow never saw that coming........Froch deserved that win for who's he fought in the past 2 years......I wonder if Bute will take the rematch clause he insisted on in the contract. Congrats to Froch the bloke is a real fighter who takes on anyone win or lose.
