No it isnt. I am going and I want to see the udercard and I dont expect to be watching it alone. clown.
atsch I would like to see Darren Barker on the undercard. Not fought since losing to Martinez last October, so would be good if Eddie got him on the bill.
I'm sure Eddie wanted Kenny Anderson fight for the British title. Maybe John Ryder and Robin Reid will feature on the card. Interbox may have a couple of fighters out.
Was in Boxing News this week... Hearn wants Vassell/Purdy II. Canadian light-welter prospect Pier Oliver Cote will be on (possibly against a British opponent), Eric Ochieng defending his English title and Matchroom prospects like Cardle, Ryder and Aston. That's all that's been said so far, could be more additions later :think
Putting my ESB Accredited Financial Consultant head on, I wonder how much money will be left over for the undercard after paying Bute to defend hiis title away from home? Froch also has to be paid and the arena doesn't seat that many.
any idea what they are gettin each for the fight? the way tickets sold like hot cakes seem strange a bigger venue wasnt chosen it was definatley considered but decided against
Best be good or I won't be happy... Would be pleased to see Vassell/Purdy II although I think it'll go exactly the same as the first. Cote is bound to be on it, and Anderson will hopefully fight a real opponent...
"Apou" told the Montreal media he would very much like to be up against an Englishman. He says he'll be travelling to the UK with his 'grenades'. Bute is taking 50% of what his purse would have been with Showtime money, in Montreal. Bear in mind his biggest purse ever was just a tad over $1M.
IF they ever make public the earnings I think most of you would be shocked of how little Bute does in England.
