I actually think it's very close. Point taken that Ward and even Dirrell made Froch look clueless but i don't think i have ever seen Calzaghe as destructive as Froch was v Bute, even v Lacy.

I couldn't call it, fancy Calzaghe if it's the Froch that showed up v Ward but Froch that showed up v Bute was another animal.

In all seriousness though; I think Calzaghe has the edge right now.

    However, when Froch retires I think he'll've surpassed him;

Bute will go on to regain a belt and claim at least one big win.
Pascal will get another belt at LHW.
    I think he'll beat Kessler.
Dirrell could still do something :dead

Joe benefited from Hopkins post-fight achievements, Froch hasn't had time to reap his benefits yet.

I was praying the fight would be made so I could lump as much money as I safely could on Bika.

Well, yes, but my avatar has nothing to do with my opinion.

If froch and calzaghe fought, i am sure Calzaghe would win pretty easily, however, claiming frochs resume does not stand up to calzaghes is plain crazy.

Really? Froch would easily outwork Bika and beat him mentally by midway through the fight.

This is just about right, Froch will probably not be remembered for his best wins, but more likely for who he fights and his attitude to the sport.

The thing that might give Froch a slight edge is he has travelled where Calzaghe has mostly fought in the uk with big pro calzaghe crowds.

Cant argue too much with that and Im more of a Calzaghe fan than a Froch one.

Would argue though that the whole Bhop being way past it is harsh on Joe. Hopkins was probably prime at late 30s, Joe probably early 30s. They were at similar stages when they fought imo.

Fact is Froch is fighting in a super middleweight division which is infinitely tougher than what Joe fought in. Back then you had Joe and Ottke, who were only interested in fighting in their back yard. Being second best in this division today is a lot more impressive than being number 1 over Peter Manfredo Jr, Tocker Pudwill and Kabary Salem

Bika was a tougher fight for Ward than Froch.

Far more skilled with his sneaky right hand and far too tough to do a Bute.

Maybe even today, Bika does Froch.

FRoch has fought the better opponents but style wise Calzaghe would have won if they had fogught.

When I made my pivotal post in this thread, the impact it had was a complete game changer. There was a list of people giving me credit, and quoting my impact and showing appreciating.

Nobody gave you any credit, nobody quoted you. All you have done is, take my post and add a few smart ass comments into it.

I have said what needed to said..
