Eubank was a top 5 SMW after he fought Joe

    After Eubanks fight with Calzaghe
    1. Frankie Liles*, 31-1, WBA champ
    2. Joe Calzaghe* (Britain), 23-0, WBO champ
    3. Robin Reid (Britain), 25-0-1, WBC champ
    4. Joseph Kiwanuka (Uganda), 25-1-2
    5. This content is protected
      (Britain), 45-3-2
As for Eubank, Serge already gave you links, comments and interviews, so please stop pretending you havent seen them

Thinking I may go again, I have cleared up threads like this many times, but even when the facts are in front of some people a few weeks later they seem to pretend that the links, posts and interviews never happened

What was the bigger, more well known opponent at the time and who was deemed the tougher fight?
Seem to have read Froch years later wasnt interested in the same opponent feeling due to it being lose lose as the opponents still tough.
I know you read it, as you posted on it, so no point in me finding the link and post.
Walk on and take the irrelevance with you

You getting tired of it mate? I hope you stick around, its not been the same without these huge debates you and Loudon get into. The number of Zaggers threads dramatically declined while you werent around, which goes to show how much of Zaggers is ESB is down to you. Keep Joe alive on ESB!

    bailey,

What difference does it make if Eubank was briefly rated in the top 5, AFTER he'd fought Joe?

You've been implying that he was a top 5, SMW at the time that Joe fought him. Which he clearly wasn't, as he hadn't had a win at the weight for 3 years.

I can't believe we're having this debate again. Ha!

I've respectfully read all of Serge's links.

Joe deserves a lot of credit for the win. It was a great win for him and his fans. Eubank tried to intimidate him before the fight, but Joe kept his cool. It was his first big fight at 25, against a legend of British boxing.

The issue I have with you, is that you'll sweep all of the other factors involved under the carpet. Whereas if it was another fighter such as Ward, you'd have highlighted those said factors for all to see. You've proven that, when labelling Kessler as being faded, unwell and suffering from double vision etc. Yet Eubank had no sparring, he couldn't do his roadwork properly, and he had to have injections in his knees. That's on top of the fact that he'd only had 11 days preparation for a fight in a division that he hadn't fought in for 2 years.

Basically, in my honest opinion, if Ward had fought that version of Eubank from 1997, I don't believe you'd have given him the same amount of credit as what you give Joe, even if Ward's circumstances had been the same as Joe's. I think you're completely biased when it comes to Joe. But it doesn't really bother me, because I absolutely love debating with you, and I love how you spin certain pieces of information in your favour. You're an absolute master at it.

    :good

said the guy who just printed a set of lies beginning with 40something jones being more relevant than the mando for kesslers old titles, froch. joe knew he wasn't equipped to fight at that level ad still win so he ran like you.

and some gibberish following that makes no sense....nevermind that, why do you actually write it and believe it makes sense? answer me that.

He'd have answered the questions before they'd have been read out fully.

Don't go Bailey! I don't often get into debates like I used to, but I read a lot on here and it is quite entertaining. ESB is boring without you.
