Kessler is a proven fighter however the style match up froch v Kessler is massively different to calzaghe v Kessler your right Kessler was on a winner and he got schooled

Similar to Calzaghe-Kessler. Look, Calzaghe may have stayed at home but it's not to say he wouldn't have won in a similar boat to froch.

Calzaghe by decision.Too much speed, workrate and a hard chin.He wouldn't hurt rock hard Froch, but he would certainly befuddle him.But even if JC were to get in trouble, his extremely underrated footwork would buy him time as his recovery powers were impressive.

Prime for prime, Calzaghe wins comfortably on points.

This fight might have been interesting in 2009 if Calzaghe continued fighting. I'd still pick Calzaghe on points but I think it would have convinced him to retire for good.

Nah.Froch is an impressive fighter.Lacy was a never was.I think Joe would win a comfortable decision but Carl would have his moments.

Really could go either way.Carl would get a few rounds early then Joe would get into the thousand cuffs per round mode. All depends on Carl being able to stop that nonsense looking the bit and getting the scores.
No KO in this as both are hard fighters.I think Joe would mix it with him in the last 2 and take the fight plan Carl had away from him.Close decision for Joe.Could be controversial as Carl would be the one making the fight. In those type of fights they always go wi Joe.
Id rather watch Carl,Carl Froch did not need this fight and he has proved he can make a name without having it.

Calzaghe would put on a masterclass vs slow, plodding Froch. Perfect style for Joe.

I would have to say Calzaghe UD due to his work rate but Froch would land the more telling blows and probably drop Joe at some point.

lets not forget, Calzaghe is able to adapt mid fight (ala the Kessler fight). Massive respect to Froch's ability to take a punch but (again ala the Kessler) he is limited where adaptability is concerned and just keeps trying to walk opponents down when frustrated. calzaghe may slap but to quote Jeff Lacy "He slaps hard"
