gotta stay consistant. dirrell UD w/ reasons stated in a bunch of other threads. dirrell is not half of what he could be yet but he still should be able to UD froch.
Speed alone isn't enough. Paulie M is very fast but has come up short at the highest level,Cotto,Hatton
Middle Doors Froch for me. The Nottingham crowd will be intimidating the hell out of poor Andre. It will be very hostile for him both in and out the ring. However, big credit to him for manning up and fighting Froch in Nottingham, unlike that big girl's blouse Lucy Bute
Are you really comparing Paulie to Dirrell? Paulie has the most fragile hands in boxing and is probably the softest puncher in boxing. Dirrell is not only fast but athletic with pretty good power (he hits just as hard if not harder than JT) so he is capable of hurting Froch.
Another thread on Froch.. I like Froch but I know that he will eventually get schooled. He's no Calzaghe.
Of course he probably will. Virtually every boxer eventually gets schooled, unless like Calzaghe they get out at the top, which is very rare
The Brits come up with the best sayings. I first saw the term "early doors" in Boxing Monthly and I actually used it a couple times when talking boxing. Knackered is pretty good and then there's the way of describing a muscular fighter by saying that he's built like a "brick shithouse." I saw that when I read Nigel Benn's book. Classic. Oh yeah, the fight. I'm gonna go with Froch winning by stoppage in the later rounds so there will not be any early doors I'm afraid.
Dirrell to start quick, have some success and gain in confidence.Froch will catch up with him around the 5th-6th round,Dirrell will panic, change his game plan and be overwhelmed.Froch to win by KO/TKO around the 10th.:good
Dirrell is better technically than JT and had JT not gassed out like he always does it would have been 12 round decision for JT. Based on that I have Dirrell winning a 12 round decision over Froch as long as he sticks to the gameplan.
The term brick shithouse comes from the days when most houses in the UK had an outside toilet rather than one in the home. Very often the would be no bog roll, just a few sheets of old newspaper on a bit of string. Also VERY cold during winter, hence the wooden bog seat
