Apparently Bute may be a bit expensive to bring to the UK (especially with no UK TV involved), and the HBO/Showtime difference would keep Froch v Hopkins unrealistic (Froch owes Showtime a fight; Hopkins likes HBO money). Next mandatory Andre Ward doesn't seem ready: there is no push from Ward's side as yet and he may even prefer the WBO holder (Balzsay).

I believe Froch wants a fight at home in the final quarter of the year. Allan Green says he'll come to Nottingham and give Froch a rematch clause - so he can KO Froch and then KO him again. Hope Green is willing to back this up, as Froch could have his 3rd dangerous fight in a row.

I'll bet Showtime would go for this (or maybe even the paltry ShoBox) as Green scored a good KO on the Froch-Taylor undercard. A very solid second defence and possibly a great match of styles: Froch's aggression/lack of defence, Green's sharpshooting, heavy/fast hands and vulnerablity (mental & physical).

Obviously ppl have to be realistic - not easy to make the Bute unifications and the Hopkins big money (for fight few will watch). Green would be a solid 2nd defence and a realistic fight for a young champ like Froch who's willing to risk his neck.

    Its a decent fight.

Froch's 'homecoming' WILL be on UK tv though.

Green is a bit of a name in the US so it's not a bad option.

With the lack of TV money in the UK, Froch may as well try to please the Americans. Beating up one of their own would do that.

I don't think Green is that good though.

If the Bute fight can't do the numbers and Kessler is in dispute with his handlers a home fight with Green would do for me. Be interesting to see the venue, I'm not sure there's enough interest for 02, but despite the atmosphere the Nottingham Arena he might be outgrowing that.

Would def be on live TV though 'without a shadow of doubt' as Woodall would say. The reason the Taylor fight wasn't on was it's time made it a non starter for terrerstial with no advertising, and Froch couldn't hold up a PPV on his own. Oh and Setanta was ****ed.

Yeah and winnable too, Green was out of his feet to Donnie McRay i think he was called who looked a fair journy man but if he can do that Froch will have Green spark out of there if he lands anything big
