Would anyone be interested in seeing this if Hopkins came to England?

Hopkins wants the fight but Froch is not a LHW, would be a catchweight i would of thought

Yes -- not all Hopkins fights are as terrible as the Calzaghe one, and it would be a chance for Froch to boost his legacy.

Beating a 50 year old man would not boost his legacy.

It'd be the worst clash of styles in AGES.

Joe's saving grace bar is '0' is the Hopkins win due to what Hopkins has done since they fought. A win over Hopkins would put Carl ahead (he already is, IMO) of Joe.

froch would beat 40something bhop sure (by sheer will and lung power, not skill) but a 40something bhop adds little compared to a prime champ like groves.

I think froch would consider such a fight as cowardly when there are prime contenders around that he shouldn't ignore.

Froch wont risk his legacy by fighting Hopkins. I mean Froch wouldn't move up to 175 lbs and he wouldn't drag down a 50 year old man who has the ability to make any fighter in the World look bad, so he wont fight Hopkins IMO.
I expect Froch to have a 3rd fight with Kessler or have his dream fight in Las Vegas with Chavez Jnr.

A third Kessler fight just means there are poor options out there for Carl or that other significant matches cannot be made for him. We don't need another Kessler fight.

Hopkins is too crafty for Froch and can make him look VERY bad and limited. It would add nothing to Froch's legacy and also diminish his achievements on a historical level if a 50 year old was to take him to school in front of his home fans.

Think about it....you sell out Wembley Arena in front of 80,000 fans, lay claim to being an ATG fight and then get schooled by a 50 year old legend and get to be made look second rate.

Froch would beat Hopkins at this point, but it wouldn't really add anything to his career, then again neither would beating Chavez Jr.

I still think Hopkins now would have too much guile for Froch.

fighting old Hopkins is too cowardly for a man who is trying to prove his credentials as the world number 1 at smw.
