Froch v Johnson to fight in June now.

Seeing as we already know Andre Ward will get home advantage in his semi final, I really don't see why this fight can't be in England. It'd sell better in Nottingham for sure than it would anywhere in North America. And after all the travelling Froch has done, he deserves it. Glen Johnson is lucky to even be in the Super Six so could hardly complain.

 

I honestly feel sorry for hard Carl Froch fans. He's fighting what? 6+ months at a time.

Get rid of Hennesey, Froch!

 

yeh this was mentioned a few weeks ago. Seems like there trying to find a card in the US/Canada to put it on.

 

I'd put both the semis on the same bill in Vegas.

This ain't no undercard fight.

 

Agreed I don't get why the didn't do that it builds perfectly to the final.

The Ward vs Abraham fight it in LA which may seem like its favouring Ward but theres a large Armenian community in LA. Add Wards fans travelling a few hours, some british living in LA and travelling from Nottingham plus general boxing fans and you have a decent crowd.

We will not see the final of this now until November earliest.

Showtime have handled the tournament well so far with the pullouts and other problems so i dont understand why putting on the semis is taking so long, they should be happening in April

 

Good to see Henry getting a big fight. Props to Diaconu if he does take it. Not to many people seem keen on fighting Henry recently. Wonder why that is?

 

Its rubbish that hes fighting away again, but just imagine if he wins the super 6! that would be 4 massive fights away from home on the run. the homecoming fight (that would have to happen) would be huge and make up for all of the time waiting.

 

Oh for gods sake put them both on the same card to build up the final or let Froch fight in Nottingham its the least he deserves

 

This fight deserves to be in Nottingham in a packed out arena with real fans who will appreciate 2 great fighters.
