I have to say that I agree with what McGuigan just said on ITV4, I reckon if he meets him in 09 Carl will lose. I'd like to see Foch have 2 top level fights before Kessler then we'd have a hum dinger on our hands

I think Kessler would beat him comfortably on points.

froch is too gung ho to last 12 rounds against kesslers accurate powerful punching. i reckon he'd be stopped on his feet in the 10th or 11th.

Neither are fully proven so it's hard to say for sure. Probably Kessler on points.

Kessler is not a power puncher either like people seem to make out. He has average too decent power.

    I think Kessler wins easily.
Froch is too open and Kessler punches hard and very accurately (which was Pascal's undoing). Calzaghe only just managed to stay out of Kesslers way because his defence is brilliant - Froch's is not.

Kessler wins by KO 8th round.

I think Froch has more to his game than people give him credit for

He fights gung ho out of choice IMO

As he fights better fighters he'll learn to be sensible hopefully

He could probably do with a fight or two more before fighting Kessler, but I don't rate Kessler as this monster everyone else seems to think he is. He's quite unimaginative.

Froch showed some good variety and ringcraft the other night when he realised Pascal took a good punch, and swept the second half of the fight with his jab.

Forgot to give my verdict lol... probably a Kessler very tight points decision.

Kessler W12.... but Froch will expose his limitations big time and make it close

Calzaghe's defence is not "brilliant", he gets tagged, leaves himself open, an awful lot and his good chin has saved him many, many times.

Pascals punching looked fairly accurate to me as well... he caught Froch frequently..

    Kessler TKO

Froch either stopped by the ref for taking too much punishment, on cuts, stopped by his corner. Something like that.

one thing in frochs favour is that, like himself, kessler is a very upright fighter, and he wont have to deal with problem he had hitting pascal when he kept stooping low, so in that sense an easier target, but he's certainly not poor defensively by any means.

Froch doesn't have to deal with any lateral movement either...

Kessler would knock out Froch, though Froch is a very good boxer. I just think Kessler has too much power, and Froch's defence is a little weak.

Froch has plenty to deal with. Like how he's going to not defend a laser like jab and right hand with his face.
