Froch v Kessler 2 Nearly Signed, Both to earn $2 million each, Return of Sky PPV?

Matchroom are cheap.

Frank paid Calzaghe and Kessler $5m each.

 

I think if marketing the fight as PPV they shouldn't go on too much about the first fight. It was good fight but somewhat scrappy and neither guy was in too much trouble. They should try to distance both fighters from it and advertise it as if it's a fresh fight.

 

It can still be on normal Sky, ticket sales could be $1.5-2 million alone, then Sky will put down their money, international rights, sponsors etc, so even without PPV they can afford $4 million for the fighters, if it was on PPV then they should get alot more. Haye got £5 million to fight Harrison on PPV which is $8 million dollars, ofcourse it did sell well so will be dependant how big Froch is in UK not as big as Haye though.

 

This is definitely PPV. It's a great fight on its own but if they can arrange it for the end of the football season people missing out on sport have a massive undercard, Bellew, Frampton even brook possibly,etc then there's no reason it won't be a big sell with the righ promotion. That's exactly the kind of fight and undercard people dont mind paying money for I reckon. Better than Haye fight with no undercard at all or Khan with no undercard

If this fight is PPV, I think people should remember the first fight before giving Sly your cash.

Slys PPV quality is awful when you compare it up against HBO. Sly PPV just feels like any other boxing on SS1. No difference, its supposed to be flash, special, with proper special guests, your paying £15. So none of this f*cking Johnny Nelson and Adam Smith.

But its all about keeping it to a bare minimum and making maximum £ from the :tired population.

Just look at the 2012 figures:

Revenue - £6.791 billion
Operating income - £1.243 billion
Net income - £0.970 billion
Employees - 22,800

They are laughing at you and rubbing their hands. Just look at operating costs compared to revenue. :scaredas: Nothing is worth what they set the prices at.

IMO you'd be far better of GOING to the fight and enjoying yourself for the night, than spending £15 for your TV to watch an extended SS1 show.
