Froch v Kessler PPV - Number of Buys?

Many people do especially with the price of beer at the pub nowdays

 

Beer, cheese and nibbles sounds completely gay :? Everytime that Ive been out to watch a big match or fight the pubs always seem to be as packed

 

How does Prizefighter even get sanctioned, when it clearly breaks the BBBofC's rule that all fights must be at least 4 rounds in length?

 

That's a good point, it should not be classed as pro boxing, it should be called for what it is, a pointless, shitstorm of a circus that takes up valuable TV dates, I will never like it, in fact I will always hate it with a passion but I could just about acknowledge it's existence if the normal boxing on sky was top notch, sadly that's not the case, adding a sub standard ppv and I can't help but think, Eddies starting to take the ****.

 

250k, stab in the dark. Official numbers will never be known anyway.

 

I think between 200 & 250k buys will be a good result.

 

Froch v Bute had peak viewing figures of well over half a million (fact), this is when the apparent 'Niche' Froch was lesser known than after he gave out one of the biggest one sided pasting of an undefeated World Champions seen on UK TV ever.

Now then, yes, being PPV will affect the numbers drastically , its all good attracting the casuals but how many people do you think missed out on Purchasing tickets for this fight and were willing to pay 80/100/150/200 pound for tickets ?

Genuine die Hard Boxing fans, i know a hell of alot did, Froch or Kessler Fans , to many to mention , casual arm chair boxing fans ?

These are the ones that ppv need selling to because if your a proper fight fan what are the chances your going to be put off by 15-18 quid to watch what promises to be one of the fights of the current decade staring a British World Champion against another World Champion for the prices of two pints and twenty Ciggys ?

I was more pished off with the Pascal v Bute fight was squashed because that fight, i really wanted to see that as well and could have cemented my purchase but i will still purchase PPV for this fight because i hope the Main Event lives up to my expectations!!!

Viewing figures - id hazard a guess at 350-000 ish on the Sky Side.

What actually took the pish for me wasnt the fact Bellew and Groves are the main support acts more their opponents when the Haye card looks ten times better than the Froch one already, i wanted more for my £1500 quid!

Such is life and such is boxing , Glad im not Team Brook though ,because as a follower of Kel , that would have really pissed me off financially!

 

the advertising has been lacking they dont seem to be pushing it as much as other fights

 

Anything between 150-200k has to be considered good numbers.
