It was a 3 day ban. The equivalent of the headmaster making you face the wall at lunchtime and think about what youve done....

I'm inclined to agree with the calculated loss argument but the flipside is that this is all conjecture. Do we actually have evidence that ITV would have offered anything at all? Hate to say it but we could be unduly bashing Mick here as regards the TV deals. I maintain he should have dug his heels in about the venue though. He really dropped a bollock there

Pretty sure it was said at the time (taylor fight) that he'd turned down a 'lowball' offer of 100k. We all assumed that was sky.

Why slag off other british champions for?

And NO..... Froch is actually the worst of the bunch! if Hennessy could get away with what Frank Warren did with Khan, but do it to Froch instead.... he would have done.
Henessy just isn't anything as close as a good promoter as Warren. Recent events prove this, I mean you would think with Froch being an established world champion he would get home advantage at least? let alone being bullied around the negotiation table to such an extent that british fight fans have now lost thoasnad of pounds in ticket money just so the other guy gets home advantage!

Barker and Murray should also leave him if they actually want their careers to progress?

    Out in the sticks? Salford?

Anyone with half a brain could have ordered and watched it online. Sounds like you're the one struggling to keep up.

By the way, you are an utter twat.

Didn't he call one off "derisory" as well, or was that for the Dirrell fight?

Maybe theres a chance that Hennessy didnt have enough faith in Froch to take a multi-fight deal with sky... thus wanting to take the big bucks for a 1 fight deal? :think

just to point out the mess up with the phone lines and payments was skys fault not primetime.

we need to face facts, if you want to be a boxing fan in the future get used to PPV on tv like primetime or the web. Boxing just doesnt work on subscription or terrestrial.

as long as its at a reasonable rate im not fussed. if you dont wanna watch it dont pay. simple as.
