Man I thought that was a really exciting fight. And they closed the show too, I almost was out of my seat in the 12, it wasn't the most accurate boxing, but it was exciting to me none the less.

Either way, I missed the first four, but gave most of the rounds from the 5th on to Kessler, although I thought some were close because of how akward Froch was.

Props to Froch who wanted to be angry about the decision saying it mightve went the other way if it was in his hometown, but he kept his class and gave Kessler credit. I was impressed with Froch for being as professional about everything as he was. Kessler is now a 3 time belt holder at smw, congrats to him.

But with the decision, do you guys think the judges got it right? Like I said I missed the first four rounds, and I know some of them were really close. Thoughts on the fight?

Btw I had called a UD for Kessler :smoke

Both deserved victory tonight. I had it a draw. If only Froch had been more aggressive during the first half and forced Kessler on the backfoot he would have won a UD or stopped Mikkel later on.

    Shoulda, woulda, coulda...

I had it 115-113 for Kessler. I gave the close rounds to Froch so it doesn't suprise me some people had it by a larger margin.

I can't vote on your poll.
Scored it 115-113 Froch, could easily be 115-113 Kessler.

Should have put a 'could have gone either way' option in.

Excellent fight, Froch as usual gave his all and was willing to go toe to toe. Kessler showed improved stamina and took some vicious shots to land some of his own.
When they waged war the battle was more or less even but Kessler won more of the calmer moments, out-jabbing and out-working Froch.
I scored it 116-112 for Kessler. Both guys deserve credit for putting on a great show and giving everyone their money's worth.

The poll isnt "who do you think won" its "do you think the right boxer got the decision", if you dont think kessler shouldve got the decision then vote no on the poll.

    Eh?

If you think Froch won how can you say the right boxer got the decision? IMO it could have gone both ways, there is no right answer to me.

I hate to say it, and if the last fight in the super 6 between Kessler and Ward wasn't proof of it - it is quite evident now that Kessler is a shade of his former self.

He is slow, has little to no movement, and is easily hit. Froch was just even slower. To me this was a fight between the two worst in the Super 6. I never thought I would say such a thing, but there it is.

Quite sad. He was a a-lvl boxerpuncher - now B- at best. I fear for his future bouts.

Completely agree. I mean I knew Kessler was gonna win, but I didnt think he was gonna have to dig as deep as Froch made him. But Kessler showed he still has the desire to be great.

And about Green, I guess everyone is forgetting that guy Bute ko'd in three easy rounds last week, beat Green decisively not too long ago, and alot of people argue, Andre Ward and Froch(at least a few days ago anyway:yep) are better than Bute so add that one up, when it comes to Green's chances in the tourney. I just dont think Green has come far enough along skill wise since his loss to Miranda to honestly think he has a chance against guys like Kessler.

Congrats to both fighters! a real war between men, nobody was running away!

F damn close fight! Froch was right when he said if the fight was in England he would have got the dicision.. But both did enough to win

In the real world, Kessler got the decision awarded right? Do you think he should have got that decision? yes or no? If you think the fight was a draw vote no, which means, no, Kessler should not have been awarded the decision because you thought it was a draw.

And if there still is no right answer for you, nothing wrong with that, at least it was an awesome match.

I scored it a draw, but a close kessler victory is also acceptable, that tillman idiot shouldbe banned from boxing though.
