Froch causes most fighters trouble because he's awkward, those hands are always a threat dangling out of vision, and he's physical (he tried to get the elbow in a few times). Taylor is a lot faster and more explosive than Kessler, so found Froch an easier target earlier on.

Kessler needed to be more measured, but I thought his head movement was much improved from the Ward debacle and he kept on fighting even with the cut. He slowed a little and got a bit stationary as he tired, but he used a better variety of punches than before.

I agree. Kessler has lost some speed in both hand and foot. I have heard they are doing a lot of weight lifting - and I just think that is plain wrong. I hope Montoya stopped that.

However, unlike his past few fights - he at least showed up in shape and motivated.

It was a gutsy win, but he will need to stop the muscle-focus and focus on hand and footspeed again if he wants to win the whole thing. Perhaps they already have started working on getting Kessler's speed back and it is just starting to take effect - I don't know... but hopefully.

I think Kessler edged it but I wouldn't have been surprised if they had raised Froch's hand at the end.

Fight of the year so far that I've seen.

Completely agree. Honestly (Im starting to say this every time I watch him:yep) I thought Froch was more akward than ever in there. But thats what makes him Froch. And yea, I did notice Kessler getting away from more shots than usual.

From what I saw Kessler deserved the win, but I think if it was 15 rounds Froch, although tired too, would've had a good chance to ko kessler. I saw at the very end, both fighters were giving everything, but it just seemed that Froch's punches still had alot of power in them, vs Kessler's.

good fight - close fight but i think Kessler nicked it. woud not have been too upset with a draw.

roll on the super 6. i would like to see green beat ward. that would totally level things up.

All fights should be like that. That's what made me a fan.

Glad your not biased like alot of people tend to be.

I was always on the fence with Froch until tonight. To me he showed his class in his interview after the fight, because he lost for the first time, lost his belt, and was in hostile territory, but stay professional, and complimented Denmark and Kessler. I deff have more respect for Froch now than I did before.

Yes mate I agree with you. Kessler has definitely declined. OK, he won the decision but he should have beaten Froch much easier than that.

Kessler HAS declined. He's lost tonnes of speed and accuracy.

Kessler should have schooled Froch. He's finished.

I think Kessler isnt the same as when he fought Calzaghe, but obviously he isnt finished yet he just beat an undefeated akward as **** Froch.

I want to agree with his accuracy being down, which it was, but he was fighting Froch, so for me at least, its still hard to gauge just how much he has lost. But I cannot deny Kessler's speed wasnt as great, I'm hoping Froch just threw his gameplan off.

Imo once we see Kessler in against Dirrell we will really see what is still there or what has been lost in Kesslers ability.

Exactly, some fighters it takes them awhile to get back to full form after a rough loss or two. And I think tonight Kessler showed he is gonna TRY his best to get back to form.
