Lou Di Bella has said that Martinez would be tempted to step up to super middle to fight Froch in the future. I can't see how Martinez could beat Froch I just see Froch as far too big and strong for him. What do you guys think?

I agree with u. Froch is way too big. Imo, middleweights are bigger than Sergio who is a jr middleweight. Martinez is fighting bigger fighters as a rule, and that can“t work forever.

Segio didn't really impress me last night- I think Barker had it won if he'd have just had a little more seasoning at world class.

I don't see Martinez fighting a 168 pounder anytime soon. The guy is becoming another Terry Norris and trying to feast on smaller guys. His constant calling out of welters is annoying.

One thing is for sure he'd make him look very sluggish.

,if barker had more time at world class level he would have won last night,he did superb,he faught the best middle out there,i aint seen the cards but spencer said they had it wide for martinez, couldent see it myself.

as for froch, froch is proven at world class and is a better boxer than barker, and would smash martinez,it would be another AA fight.
i have not,and dident last night see this P4P number 3 in the world boxer people are saying martinez is,he is good,no doubt, but n 3,nah,no way jose

Definitely Froch. I agree with Widdy, it is rather premature to be putting Maravilla at P4P #3 - still got a lot to prove. I think it is going to be difficult for him to live up to that tag now, as there are a lot of fighters (especially after last night) that will realise he can be beaten. Pac/PBF being two - and certainly others who are ranked below.

Froch would be another. Too strong and wouldn't fade as Barker did last night. If Barker was commanding the centre of the ring earlier on, there is no reason why Froch couldn't - and no doubt be a lot more effective.

Its a question of whether Froch could land enough on Martinez to really hurt him - he aint knocking him out with one punch.

Be a very interesting fight though.

Martinez is a smallish MW, he'd be tiny at 168 and would lose to the top guys. But people shouldn't get too down over the Barker fight - it's hard to look good when a guy is basically avoiding conflict.

Yep. I don't think Carl Froch knows too much about avoiding conflict either.
