Great news to have some boxing back on terrestrial.
I think u make carl a heavy faviourte and take it from there - interesting to see who the bigger man is pascal has fought in the 170's before now
I just hope carl stops dropping his hands so far down cause although Pascal isnt a massive puncher he could do damage in the later rounds of the fight thru accumalation

carl wont stop dropping his hands. thats his style.

this is great news for him. this will put him on the same level as hatton, calzaghe and haye.

the great thing about this is its going up against Skys Khan/Cook show, probs at exactly the same time. so nobody is gonna by the shitty ppv and watch for free on itv.

    Great news.
Looking forward to this one more than Hatton's/Calzaghe's/Haye's fights and it's free :smoke:smoke:smoke

    Phew, fantastic!

Both the match-up, and the fact it'll be on ITV.

Biggest stage of Froch's career. A great showing would be his springboard to big things, a poor one or a loss and that'll be very damaging.

    Can't wait!

Great news for Froch, Hennessey and us boxing fans as well as the public who have a now faded interest in the sport. So this will be going up against a Warren Sky show?

I can see Froch winning this and maybe by KO. Pscal is a good fighter and could cause Carl a few problems but he is not quite on the same level as Carl who should be now entering genuine world class status. I really hope Froch comes through the fight and impresses and then maybe we will see some great Super Middle match ups on terrestrial tv once more. Froch has a couple of big fights to look forward to and ITV should be able to show them.

The Cobra will win this easily. He is just to good for the likes of Pascal.

Isn't it only on ITV4 though, or is the froch fight a one-off on ITV1?

By the sounds of it, this fight is a one-off on ITV 1, with ITV4 airing all the others planned for the next 2 years. Still, I'm sure that if Froch beats Pascal and fights a top 10 fighter next or takes part in a unification fight, they'll be wanting to air that on ITV 1. Just a hunch!;)

Funny as hell. Bye bye Franky !

Khan gets blown to bits the moment he ends his association with ITV and then suddenly a genuine world class fighter (WITH A CHIN), against an unbeaten fighter for the prestigious green belt on prime time ITV...for FREE ! mega.

I hope Buncey makes a song about this fight. Long time coming..

Why do you say that ? IMHO, they both have been matched very tentatively so far and they are both getting in this world title fight without having done anything to earn it.

Froch's best win arguably is a very very faded Robin Reid while Pascal's best win arguably is a "coming back from a 2 year break" Kingsley Ikeke.

IMHO, they both are potentially great fighters but none has proven anything yet.
