LOL never thought about it like that makes the PPV failure all the sweeter !

Froch started his career on BBC1 if I remember right and it was only Fraudleys greed the took the Beeb out of boxing . Glad Carl is going to get the exposure, he's had to wait but a WBC title shot on terrestial TV was probably worth waiting for.

    Goan yersel Cobra !

Yep. We should get to see the odd world title fight and then the rest of Hennesseys shows on ITV 4 which just about everyone has. Good news indeed.

I may be in the minority here but I think Froch is a wanker and I hope Pascal 'does a Prescott' on him. Not sure tht Pascal has quite enough though.
    Still here's hoping.

This is is good news, as a new boxing fan, who doesn't have sky or setanta I was kind of thinking I wasn't going to actually be able to see any boxing except old fights on Nuts and youtube.

Just out of interest, who does this Mike Hennessey bloke have in his stable that is worth watching apart from Froch?

It's the stupid transatlantic way Frank Warren says the word 'title',just like he calls fighters 'fiders'

Murray, Thaxton, Barker, Elcock, Witter and a few others. Some decent fighters there.

I admit that Froch should be considered a slight favorite because he'll box at home. However, saying that he will win easily....mmmm! Be ready for a war! I saw Froch boxing few times and his style perfectly fits for Pascal. Froch is slow like a turtle and his defensive is poor. Pascal will use his great handspeed and mobility to regularly score. For sure, Froch better keeps his hands up. Pascal will make him paid his little dropping hand trend. On the other end, Pascal's chin is suspect. So, Froch will have a clear shot at the KO, but Pascal also has good power. So, once Froch will open up, watch the hook coming up fast.

Conclusion: It's a pretty good match-up. Fans who will be in the arena will enjoy it.

    Prediction: Pascal UD....Am I biaised...aahaha

Pascal is a weakling. Froch will put him where he wants him and will then smash his face in.

There ain't a stronger guy who weighs 12 stone in the sport today.

Watch him on youtube bench pressing nearly 3 plates a side and then squatting a small country.

Pascal looks good in the pictures and has that fake RJJ style, but Froch has those lump-hammer body shots.

the next thaxton fight will be on itv4...

    http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/boxing/7625034.stm

Jon Thaxton could have the biggest audience of his career when he fights Juan Carlos Diaz Melero for the European title on 4 October.

Promoter Mick Hennessy has signed a rights package with ITV to screen fights from his stable of boxers.

The fight will be broadcast on ITV4 and available to 90% of the UK, and Thaxton told BBC Radio Norfolk he was thrilled.

He said: "It is a great fight for TV, it is going to be very exciting and it is great that it is in Norwich."
