If he doesn't, I think we know who doesn't want this fight then. Or he truly over rates himself by a lot.

    I agree.

Unfortunately a lot of people listen to the loudest mouth instead of looking at the evidence in front of them.

Pascal has been dropped by a featherfisted puncher before... Taylor was Knocked out by Pavlik at 160... I don't think there is much shame in that, just about anyone from 160-168 would have been knocked out by that perfect right hand that landed on top of the finishing flurry.

Look this poll has it 50/50 right now, but barely any of the Froch supporters are arguing their case in the thread.... after Taylor gives Froch the beating of a lifetime, all those same people will just write off Froch as a bum.

Early in the fight will be all Taylor, Jermain will rack up the points with his superior boxing skills and start to feel comfortable, Froch will be trying to impress the American crowd and hinder his performance by playing it cool, Heading into the Championship round's Rob McCracken will be imploring Froch to stop ****ing around and Knock this guy out or lose the belt.

    Froch KO10:yep

    Froch-Taylor purse bids postponed

The WBC have postponed the purse bids (due noon Mexico City time today) for the proposed super-middleweight title between champion Carl Froch and mandatory challenger Jermain Taylor.
This seems a very strange turn of events. It could be as simple as not enough money being offered for the WBC to feel it's worth sanctioning, ergo they have told the parties to go away and have another try.
BBN awaits the next biting Hennessy Sports press release with interest.
Froch's promoter Mick Hennessy was quoted on BBN yesterday, saying: "I believe Lou DiBella (Taylor's promoter) and Taylor are trying to walk away from this fight and look for the exit door. I've made a formal $1.6 million offer to Taylor's promoter Lou DiBella for him to fight Carl Froch in the UK in April. It would be a massive fight over here and that offers on the table right now so we can either do a deal or we can wait for the purse bids on Friday.
“Lou has been talking about the offer he's made but what about the offer that I've made? Lou is trying to make this a take it or leave it situation but Carl is the champion, not Taylor and in my opinion he needs to respect that and the WBC purse bid process if it comes to that.
“If we can't agree a deal beforehand then I know that Carl is happy to accept the outcome of the purse bids regardless of where the fight ends up.”
Froch himself had almost predicted this, in saying yesterday: "Purse bids for the fight are due but there's been a deafening silence from Jermain about the fight. You can draw your own conclusions on why that is. Look what happened last year, he ducked out of a vacant WBC title fight with me when he could have had

Froch doesn't fight on ppv so there is no $800,000.
I really do think that JT could outbox Froch but he clearly doesn't want the fight as he knows Froch could KO him. Shame.

Froch wants it. The fans want it. What the **** is wrong with Taylor? All he has to do is take a paid holiday to England and come back with a belt.

I don't know where that figure comes from, but would they be selling advertising perhaps? Programming is paid for whether it is a fight or a movie or whatever. You don't produce a show and then give it away.

ITV do show adverts but Carl wouldnt get any of that.

I think ITV paid him for a so many fight deal, and it's just a flat number. He fights on a free channel, no subscriptions,PPV or anything. (Reason Khan and Calzaghe left).

Could be wrong, it might be a fight by fight deal, but if it was SKY or Setanta would have poked there noses in by now, and Bunce would have at least dropped hints about not knowing who was brodcasting the fight on his show(He did with the Olympians).
