you wonder why these streaming subscription websites are poppin up everywhere when you are getting charged a tenner for froch or u can watch it foer 99p somewhere on line theres no way this fights worth a tenner they are gettin greedy

 

Hennessy has overpriced this (as he's obviously priced himself out of a deal with Sky, Setanta or ITV as well).

If it was half the price I'd enthusiastically support it (assuming the undercard is part of the deal).

 

It's disappointing as hell, but as boxing fans shouldn't we be "rewarding" Froch by paying out for this? I mean, we often complain about how the best, or even good fighters avoid real tests and get fed easy opponents to make easy money. Boxing is as susceptible to market forces as other sports, so maybe we as consumers should make clear where we want to put our money since Froch is putting his ass on the line and immediately going for the name US fighter in the division?

 

Congratulations Mick Hennessey on totally wiping out all of the previous few years trying to build up Froch.


All the steady building up on ITV, trying to establish a fanbase, and with all the great exposure and press the Pascal fight has had - now they've gone and blown it.
Now Froch's biggest and most important fight to date, against his most credible opponent, and it's going to go by totally unnoticed and ignored, 90% of the country will not even be aware the fight is happening, and Froch will just fade into obscurity and become nothing more than a faded memory as far as the casual general public are concerned.
All the good work that needed to be captilized on has been undone and Froch's audiences will shrink to miniscule proportions.

I'm pretty pissed off by this because a) Froch deserves better, and b) we as boxing fans deserve better. Can't help but feel let down big time on this one. :twisted:
I don't even mind PPV, I just rather see it on my television than a computer.

I never thought I'd say this but... Carl Froch, go sign with Frank Warren!!

Hennessy is totally going to f$*% up his career. Sure, you can have all the world titles and glory you like, but you ain't going to make no serious money if you're being promoted this way. Britain's only world champion in a genuine world title fight against the elite, and nobody knows or cares. Hennessey as snatched defeat from the jaws of victory.
At least Warren will market you, sell you and earn you a few quid.

My laptop's so feckin slow that it will be like watching something from 120 years ago.

Really pissed off with this. All of Froch's fights past 9th or 10th have been on telly. To not put him on now is criminal.

For Setanta to hint that they are trying to get this or are hoping to get this is not good enough - home of boxing my arse.
