I thought it was way closer than the judges had it, but that's how it goes. Fortunately the judges decision wasn't required.
I like Froch, and I'm a big fan, hugely down to his attitude and willingness to do things the right way instead of hiding behind a manufactured career (which is all too easy to do in this age of boxing). However I get really frustrated and concerned watching the way he fights, sometimes having complete disregard for defence and swinging in wide shots, etc. I keep thinking if he boxes an elite operator he's going to come unstuck boxing like that - then I realized Jermain Taylor is an elite operator and Carl still pulled out of the bag! Carl, please, please tidy up some of those careless flaws! You can make these fights much easier and give yourself the best possible chance instead of practically giving away rounds... Anyway, congratulations to Carl Froch. A sensational victory in America against a top American in a first defence of a genuine world title. A fighting champion to be proud of. :thumbsup :bbb
