It took Froch 12 rounds but eventually the strength, power, tenacy and mental strength were telling. I've said it before, if he can get to Taylor then his flaws would appear i.e. backing up straight, laying on the ropes etc Those flaws and being broken mentally and physically finally saw the stoppage 14 seconds from the mother ****ing bell.

    Well ****ing done Carl Froch.

Every ****ing **** of a TV channel should be ashamed of themselves and Carl shows why.

That is his second quality bout in a row!

Although I said I would wait till tomorrow, temptiaton caved in.

Used the Mrs' card as they didnt accept Maestro (wtf?!) and woke her up going when I started screaming in the 12th round.

    Not a happy bunny.

I knew Taylor would fade as the fight went on. His face when Froch was hitting him without reply ,just before the ref stopped it, was classic!

I'm really in shock. With that chin who stops Froch? Kessler v Froch will happen but Carl needs to have a couple of easy money fights and get more experience as a champ. Forget Calzaghe

    BBC News says

Froch stuns Taylor with late show
Carl Froch (left) and Jermain Taylor
Froch is making his first defence against Taylor in Connecticut

Carl Froch produced one of the greatest comebacks in boxing history to retain his WBC super-middleweight crown against Jermain Taylor in Connecticut.

Nottingham's Froch was well behind on the scorecards going into the 12th round but produced a grandstand finish to stop Taylor with seconds remaining.

Froch had been outclassed for much of the fight and he went down for the first time in his career in the third.

But an exhausted Taylor was unable to withstand Froch's furious late rally.
