I know there have been more than a few threads about this already but I'm particularly interested in what the British fight fans think the outome of this contest is gonna be.

It's clear from the GF that most American fans genuinely think that this is gonna be a very easy night for Taylor.

My personal view is that I'm 80% certain of a Froch victory. The only way I can see him losing is because of a cut or some other bizarre circumstance. Taylor may well be the more skilled fighter but for me the outcome of this fight will be determined by desire.

It's clear that Froch is eager to make name for himself and is determined to get the victory so that he can get to the superfights and more importantly the super bucks. On the flip side, Taylor, to me, gives the impression of a guy who wishes that he could make this kind of money doing something else and is primarily concerned with boosting his retirment fund.

Taylor is still a tough old cookie having said that so I'm gonna go for Froch UD with a few hairy moments along the way. What do you guys reckon?

Add a poll mate and find out what the consensus is:good

I really like Froch, but I feel Taylor's more accurate shots should take him to victory in a tight points affair (I'm basically Taylor 55% - Froch 45% on this one). Taylor has a hell of a good jab as well; that will probably be his key weapon: good for dictating the pace of the fight and generally staying out of harms way while he wracks up the points. Froch will definitely have his moments though.

Froch has a punchers chance I would think. I wouldn't rate it any better than that, and its not a huge chance because he plants his feet and wings in his power shots so they are very obvious. I think thats the reason he couldn't finish Pascal when he was expected to.

I think Taylor will outbox him.

I posted this on another forum i use:

Froch has a great chin, and good power. Going into the ring against Taylor he'll have a big height and reach advantage. Froch has said that before the Pascal fight he decided he was going to go toe to toe and while he made it an exciting fight (Top 3 FOTY imo) his defence left a lot to be desired. He uses the shoulder roll technique, but he's not quick enough to pull it off as say, a peak James Toney for instance.

Taylor has the pedigree. Two wins over Hopkins and a draw against Wright (a fight i thought he lost). However since 2006 he fought much smaller men, and struggled against them - Ouma and Spinks, before coming unstuck against Pavlik. Since then he failed to stop a very poor Lacy. He has decent power, but nowhere near as good as Froch's and he hasn't stopped anyone in over four years.

My take - if Froch wins he cannot go toe to toe unless there's a big opportunity. Taylor has the ability to counter him. I think it will come down to hunger - Froch definitely has it, but i'm not so sure about Taylor (as BHop says - the hunger to fight goes when your fridge is full).

If both are fully focused, it's gonna be a classic, and i take Froch on a close points decision, provided he uses his jab.

Froch is running away with this poll.

    I'm quite surprised.

i think its a case of most american fans over rating Taylor and under rating Froch. i would say its 55-45 Taylor due to expirence but i honestly think Froch will win and very very convincingly.

I think the US fans seem to think hes Gary Lockett or Michael Jennings.

I also gave Taylor Majority decisions agaisnt Hopkins twice, Wright and a draw in the 2nd Pavlik fight.

This is the Brit forum, what do you expect? Most of us go with our hearts not our heads when it comes to British fighters.

Including me.:yep Froch TKO. Although I do think Froch has a good chance and haven't been too impressed with Taylor recently.
