I don't think Taylor is mentally or physically what he was 2 years ago but I think that may still be enough to beat Froch.
However, you just have to look at the posts to explain this. A lot of "my head says Taylor, but I'm going with my heart which says Froch", "patriotism wins out for me", "I think Taylor will win, but I've gotta go with Froch", and even Ishy's classic "I meant to vote Taylor, but I clicked on Froch to win instead." ****, even I said I felt it was a 55-45 fight (albeit in favour of Taylor). I like Froch, but he's going in with a guy who held his own with Hopkins (twice), Winky Wright and Pavlik (more so in the 2nd fight, but also nearly had a KO win in the 1st fight).
The idea is to pick who you think will win, not who you want to win or blindly hope will win. 28/13 is not a fair reflection of this fight at all!
I know (I made this point on the first page when it was 8-2). I'm just saying that the posts reveal a lot more than the statistical voting does. Its not the "Froch will win this easy" thread; the posters voting kinda know they are kidding themselves; thats not to say that Froch doesn't have a chance to win, this is boxing after all, but he is most definitely the underdog, and logic dictates that Taylor should emerge the victor.
Sure it was you Froch-loving-patriotic-vote-with-your-heart ninny The old "my hand slipped" excuse may work with your girlfriend, but it cuts little ice in the Brit Forum.
Speed and experiance with Taylor Froch has better chin and maybe more power Spped kills and i think Taylor sneaks it on the cards....Froch is just too slow both footspeed and handspeed... froch will only win if he can KO Taylor
No you didn't, deep down your finger knew it could not be false and vote for Taylor. Froch to win by UD or late stoppage.
I believe Taylor wins UD he just seems to have better skills for me. Although Froch's unorthodox style may cause Taylor problems.
I voted Taylor, I reckon it's 65-35 in his favour, but oddschecker shows you can get him at virtually evens which IMHO is a cracking bet. He is a lot more polished and schooled than Froch. I'm not saying Froch has no chance because Taylor is not always totally focused and there is a possibility Froch could grind him down, especially as Taylor is not a real student of the game, but I think he probably takes a decision.
