Froch's current deal is with ITV who are also linked to Setanta. My guess is ITV but definitely one of the two.
ive looked on setantas schedule and it aint on there but they sometimes announce fights a few days before. ive looked on itv's website also and cant see it advertised on there so who knows???
Froch was in the paper at the weekend saying that nobody was showing it in the UK. That means that Setanta will sign it up at the last minute though don't be suprised if a station like Bravo puts in a bid.
i think amlost certainly setanta will have it, although noone has it at the minute. ITV are unlikely to buy a fight for 3AM but might show a rerun the next day, sky box office unfortunately might come in as well, anyway whoever buys it will buy it at the last minute, recession and all that..
I'm amazed that that Setanta have showed no interest in it. They must be waiting on the price coming down. Would be ridiculous if it wasn't shown. The most important fight involving a UK fighter in 12 months and everybody's shying away. Demonstrates the level of popularity boxing has in the UK at the moment.
Thta's just the problem. If it was being shown at a decent hour in the UK the tv deal would have been done and dusted as soon as the fight was announced. If the fight had been held in Froch's home town of Nottingham it would have been close to a sell out. I dread to think what the attendance is gonna be in Connecticut. Absolutely crazy that this fight is taking place in the US.
