Froch V Ward = Hatton V PBF, Froch V Bute = Hatton V Pac?

Not sure where Bute has acquired this huge power and strength to knock Froch out from all of a sudden. Bute being the guy who was out on his feet in his first fight with Andrade and was only saved by the hometown ref at the end of the 12th. This being the same Andrade that was treated liek a rag doll by Kessler. Bute did get his act together by the 2nd Andrade rematch but he is never stopping Froch

Yeah cos Froch has shown in the past he cant take a punch and goes down easy!!!

  3. One comparison I'd lean away from is their respective efforts against Johnson too.

Bute had apparently sparred 100's of rounds with him and knew how to handle him, Froch obviously hadn't and decided to start trading. Once he started boxing the fight was relatively straight forward bar the odd shaky moment.

I'd go with Bute by decision, but aren't overly convinced by him knocking over a succession of scrubs in recent times. Froch would have done much the same, as would Kessler and Ward.

    Bute/Froch and Pac/Hatton is a poor comparison.

I think Bute would beat Frochy Froch and i can see him hurting him, but sparking him Pacquiao style? nah.

Remind me, how many times did Kessler have Andrade down? How many times has Andrade been stopped?

Froch can be hurt, Kessler, Dirrell and Taylor all stunned him at some point, he's not George Chuvalo. IMO Bute hits harder than all those guys, although admittedly most of his crushing stoppages came against less than stellar opposition, but in terms of aesthetics his speed and accuracy (coupled with his tendency to catch his opponents with shots they don't see) make him the most dangeous guy Froch has faced.

Unlike Abraham he won't have to be presented with an open goal to get anything done.

I am a massive Carl Froch fan BTW, he's my favourite active fighter without a doubt.

    boom

thats frochs problem, he will be hit with punches he wont see. that left uppercut of bute, with froch tendancy to over reach sometimes is a recipe for disaster imo

The converse could also be said.

Either way I think Bute carried him, there was many occasions where he pulled out of the pocket rather than continuing the assault, in my opinion Bute could've had him out of there if he really wanted to.

First post was a genuine prediction, my riposte to you when tearing it to shreds was evidently sarcastic, the insult a bit of both.

Agreed, although I felt it was a bit disappointing for that reason, but the dominant fashion could not really be criticised. Good win over a very experienced old school journeyman.

Trust me I'd be a dick even if I was a window licker :D

And I'm not 'clearly the best poster' despite what my peers have said. Again, how many times have I been wrong? How many times have I been owned? Many, so y'all should stop thinking I have a high opinion of myself as in fact it's completely the opposite!

    Bute's power is overratted IMO
