Have not seen any other threads about this being new on here i was wondering what people really think Froch can overcome his only other defeat from Andre Ward or is he just making a big hype after his revenge over Kessler
Froch just inst that good! Keeps his hands low, punches wild. no way in hell he can beat Ward. I think Ward KO Froch this time because he will be going for broke. I give Froch only props on having heart, thats it.
Froch is a very good fighter but one with a lot of flaws, and against Ward it's too much for him to overcome. Basically Froch's only chance against Ward is to forget about defense, be willing to eat a ton of punches and try to force his way through Ward's defense by making him exchange. It's a slim chance though, because Ward is strong, fast, smart, and too slick defensively.
If Andre enters the ring with two healthy hands, the fight is likely wider than the first. Carl would need a bad couple of judges or a Joe Cal type stoppage. The thing is, I think Carl is too genuine to want to win either way. He'll keep mentioning Ward's "boring" style while making money fighting pretty much anybody other than Ward.
Froch is a much bigger draw in Las Vegas than Ward. Its about the money, although if were to land clean on Ward I believe he would knock him out. But that is a highly unlikely scenario.
SOB Ward will only fight in his home town with his personal referee and judges. He is the only one who did not have to travel in the fraud tournament.
Froch is tough as nails, and definitely improved since he first fought Ward lso, Ward has been totally inactive But the fact is, none of that will matter. Ward is just on another level from the Cobra
Farmboxer: Thanks for those facts. How gracious of you to leave out the fact that Ward completely schooled Froch. If Carl's own wife was the referee in that fight and the only judge... I think she would have still had to give the fight to Ward. He also didn't pot shot, didn't run, but simply beat Froch to the punch and beat him up.
I would expect it to be closer Ward dominated the first fight, whats he gonna do this time differently? Froch probably learned a lot from fight one, not saying he will win but he has the benefit of film from fight one and the benefit of sharing a ring with Ward Froch definitely was taken back by Wards inside game, Ward elected to fight up close and I think Froch expected something different Froch looked off guard by the fact that Ward could wrestle and bully him like he had done to Dirrel Now Froch has no surprises he knows what Ward is all about and capable of
i would say watch the first fight...then wash, rinse and repeat. however, i feel it will be even wider than the first fight. big ups to froch and what he's been able to do and im a huge fan of his, but ward is going to win against froch every time. the guy who just fought kessler would get absolutely picked apart.
