In his training camp for the Kessler fight all they were working on was his head movement and outside boxing movement. They wanted him to outjab Kessler. They are constantly working on improving Froch as a boxer as he and his trainer believe he has very good underrated skills. Now looking at AAs style and last fight im almost certain they will imploy a style where froch is on the outside jabbing and throwing combos to head and body then moving from side to side. They are going for a Dirrel type performance , now i know he nothing like Dirells speed or skills but it wont stop them from trying. Now there will defo be times when Froch is dragged into exchanges but it wont be this huge slugfest people are expecting.

Everyone has plans, until they get hit. Once Abraham starts opening up and Froch starts to get more desperate, he will start trading.

He has to, if he wants to have a chance. But I fear the result will be the same nontheless.

I totally agree. Froch can box and move. He has a good jab and the hieght and reach advantages. Why give your opponent the advantage by employing a style that benifits him if you can employ something else.

Froch boxed more against Kessler but even that turned into a war. I don't think Froch can help himself when it comes to trading shots but I think a very skilled boxer-type is his weakness.

froch isnt the much of a well rounded boxer, he has that amatuer style from the trainer who was the england coach at the time, haye also does this and so wasnt surprising that they were trained by same england amatuer coach, now this style is to hang the left hand low and use simple defence such as leaning back and swivelling your opponent. i cant really say i have seen more defence from either.

however carl froch can use this basic style to his advantage and it would work against AA but only for a while, abraham will eventually bait him into a war and froch the warrior that he is will start slinging. its just in his nature

Froch is who he is and despite him wanting to be a boxer it will only take a few founds or a good hit from King Arthur to turn him back into a brawler. This fight will end with a KO. Froch is a better boxer than Arthur but if he keeps his hands down against the King he will end up on his can. I do think that Froch could easily KO Arthur as well.

Your SO wrong. This will be a war. Your giving Froch way too much credit. By the time these guys fight they will both probably be already through to the semi's. The fight will start off slowly (that I agree with) but as soon as they have their first Exchange it's game on...AA will drag him in and Froch is too dumb and not skilled enough to fight from the outside (Dirrell he is not). AA will be the Aggressor and Froch will try intially box from the outside, but eventually the only way Froch will be able to keep Abraham off him is too fight him back. This will be his undoing and he is getting KO'd late..

I actually agree. I dunno if it's really skill or just awkwardness, but his movement is very underrated. I could absolutely see him working on outboxing and frustrating AA. Whether that'll actually happen remains to be seen...
