I could see that happening. Froch could surprise us all including Abraham and box instead of brawling.

How is Froch going to box? He doesnt know how to. For gods sake his punchers are basically haymakers. Didnt he swing so widely that he spun around against Dirrell or Kessler?
The guy is trash and he will be out of the tournament after this fight.

froch has a very good jab but for some reason he has'nt used it since the pascal fight?

im favouring arthurs quicker straighter punches over carls wide looping punches in this fight, froch is getting stopped late!

    One of two outcomes.
Abraham knocks froch out. Froch might have underated skills but he also has an overrated chin. He can dance and flick that jab all he wants but as sson as he gets touched he will lose enough steam for Abraham to corner him and when that happens.......
Froch knocks Abraham out. Froch has official pop at 168. Abraham has a good beard but he really hasn't tasted true power at 168. Jt was a middle weight and dirreldoes have pop that comes from speed. Froch has that heavy handed pop that hurts from round one to round twelve. Once Abraham opens up froch can catch Abraham from an akward angle. And if froch can land his bombs then......
I can't see froch lasting twelve using the dirrel blue print. He will slow down and be forced to exchange.
Once froch has slowed enough for Abraham to come out the shell he will leave hisself open for froches akward punches.
I see knock out either way.

Froch CAN box, and he does have skills, his problem is that he needs to shorten up his punches, especially on the inside.

He also doesn't have elite handspeed, but that won't really be a factor against Abraham.

HE WILL BOX, but he just has to avoid getting caught. Basically the plan for everyone that fights Abraham.

If you straight up BRAWL with Abraham, you will get knocked out. Guy has quick very short punches, that are thrown with knockout intentions.

Froch will try to stay on the outside as much as possible but his sloppy, telegraphed offense shouldn't penetrate Abraham's defense. Abraham will close the gap and start throwing at some point and when that happens I agree, Froch will find it hard to not stand and trade and when that happens I think we're in for a bloodbath. If this scenario plays out I'd have to favor Abraham due to his crisper, sharper offense and edge in power.. however Froch seems to possess intangible qualities(fighting spirit etc.) that have thus far seen him succeed at an elite level despite an apparent lack of elite, worldclass talent so he cannot be ruled out.

Froch will definitely come to box but when Abraham closes the distance I don't see how Froch won't just stand there and hammer at him. Froch will be the boxer but there's no way this still won't be a war. I actually favor Froch slightly in this fight....Hard to put him on the floor, and he has the points-style to win it.

i am 90% sure that this fight won't go the distance. it will be a midrange slugfest which will result in a mid round/late ko.

Abraham stated he was going to box as well.

So it could be a bore decision

Froch's boxing has improved a great deal since the Pascal fight. But he still can't discipline himself enough to keep his guard up and to avoid a slugfest where necessary. That will be his downfall against AA.

Froch can box, he just looks like a drunk ******* doing it. He has pretty decent timing and good power. I can see 2 rounds of boxing and the rest will be a ****ing riot! :good

Tough fight to call, i think Froch may edge this one, but both capable of a KO, in the balance....
