Froch will eventually move up to 175 I think. He will probably fight and beat Kessler and then move up looking for Ward or Dawson. A fight with Clev is possible. You would expect Froch to outbox him. A fight with Bellew at 175 is also possible. You would have to make Froch a very big favourite over Bellew.

Doubt Froch will 'move up', he goes only a little above the weight between fights

Going on Fight night weights, he isn't a big super middle

Froch won't move up according to Eddie Hearn and also he seems quite friendly with Bellew.

There won't really be much for Froch at 168 if Ward moves up and he beats Kessler.

Maybe a rematch with Dirrell? (don't think carl would be jumping at that fight) Groves? Degale? Pavlik?

    Not much there really.

He isn't a big super middle going on fight night weights

He's only a tiny bit above the weight between fights so I can't see Froch moving up

Just because hes not big doesn't mean he won't do it.

    He's not big...

He has unfinished business at SMW...

    He's almost 35...

With respect to Bellew, he's nowhere near Froch's level in £££ terms...

Bellew holds no significant title that Froch wants...

I mean, do you want me to go on?

What are the reasons for making the fight?

    Froch beats Kessler
In the meantime Bellew beats Shumenov

Froch moves up to 175 and takes on bellew in a world title eliminator

Froch could walk into a title shot at 175 now if he really wanted. He don't need to fight Bellew for that.

Froch is way past the eliminator stage if he moves up which IMO he won't it will be for a title shot.

if Froch beats Kessler in a war then surely the money will be there for a decider in Vegas/MSG?

Kessler is done. It's a good fight for Carl to take at this stage.

    :deal

There are more than a few reasons Froch won't fight Tony Bellew, especially in an eliminator.

Assuming Froch beats kessler, Assuming Pavlik was still on some of winning streak by then and had stepped up opposition American TV would be interested in Froch-Pavlik (I think)
