No word on a catch weight yet for Hopkins.

Froch vs Bute for me. Means he is pretty much guaranteed television coverage, plus the fight is more winnable and exciting IMO.

Hopkins in Vegas and I may go.

Expect this time I'll be supporting the executioner.

  5. I take my hat off to Bute if he takes that fight, that's a risk I never thought he'd be willing to take.

I can see Froch doing his utmost for the KO on US TV against Hopkins & tiring himself out.

Bhops will be the worst fight ever. Bhops will do what he did against eastman and run around the ring all night. Froch can barely move about the ring and will just stand about doing nothing.

Thats because that piece is just Froch speculating about who he'd like to fight in the next 6 months or so (bet on it being Bute), rather than it being even the most speculative of a fight announcement for a Hopkins bout.

I think the US networks would be more interested in Froch-Hopkins than Froch-Bute.

Froch v Bute in the O2 is the fight to make!

Hopkins simply makes you look bad and Frochs power can't same him v X.

The 'US networks' are not a monolithic entity.

Froch and Bute both have existing relationships (not sure about actual contracts) with Showtime, so would probably be much less hassle to make. Showtime would love to make the fight, I'm sure.

I will be happy to watch either fight, but i expect Froch to lose to both of them.

froch vs bute at O2 sounds bad....bad meaning good.

i just think it has more meaning than froch fighting hopkins. also there is no point going to the u.s. if you cant draw the crowd. froch went to the states for taylor not becuase he would draw in fans.
bute-froch is a wonderful fight. both are calzaghe's succsessor and both have looked poor defencivly and great offencivly.

bute should and could outbox him but froch is awkward and doesnt flow right so he might catch bute coming in. we saw that bute can be outworked and outhustled by a rejuvinated andrade. and froch has shown a decent chin...even tho gettign knocked down in his last fight

just wondering what is the bigger payday a unification fight or a fight with a "legend"

Froch's work-rate does not impress me, I don't see that as a great problem to Bute or Hopkins as Andrade and Calzaghe were respectively. Froch's work-rate only looked decent when Taylor resorted to throwing nothing, before that Taylor was the only one able to get into punching range. Froch's work-rate is nothing for a good 12 round fighter.

Both should handle him. He has more of a punchers chance against Bute and 0.1% chance against Hopkins.
