Froch vs Bute at the 02 or Hopkins in Vegas!!

Hopkins would beat Dawson easily.... I really don't see the hype - he is a good fighter don't get me wrong, but hardly the next 175lb superstar.

Richie Woodhall has said in this month's Boxing Monthly that he'd expect Froch to beat Hopkins :nut

Only chance Froch has got against Hopkins, is if Hopkins' age finally catches up with him (it will eventually), and if that was the case... Froch defeated Hopkins who looked old and shot and retired straight after, Froch probablly wouldn't get much credit anyway.

That said, I don't see any scenario in which Hopkins will not school Froch.

 

IF he manages to beat Hopkins big IF I know, but age has to catch up with him at some point. I belive it would coax Calzhage out of retirement I really do

Hopkins is from Philly so the east coast would be good.... better for the punters if they put it on at 7 we would get it at midnight... and it is a lot easier and cheaper than getting to Las Vegas..

Froch does not want to vacate his belt to fight Hopkins... fight him at Catchweight...Hopkins is tight and will offer Froch nowt...

I agree with Beeston Brawler... Sheffield Arena would be a great venue..

Obviously I'd want Bute vs Froch to happen,besides it's more of a winnable fight for Carl.
Plenty of romanians in the UK to support Bute also.
Hopkins would destroy him.

 

well Hopkins is with GBP/HBO and Froch owes another fight to Showtime. so its no go as far as they are concerned

 

I would be extremely impressed if Froch could beat X. I don't see how he would. Froch is genuinely a poor mans X but has power over him. That quality doesn't worry Hopkins at all.

 

Froch won't box Hopkins. Its too risky for him, especially at such an early stage of his title reign.

Mick Hennessey has even said they travelled for the Taylor fight so now its down to an opponent to travel to the UK to box Froch! If they think B-Hop will come to the UK then either they are living on planet Mars or they have a truck-full of money as an incentive! Somethnig tells me its not the former!

I look for Bute-Froch to happen. B-Hop, even at this late stage of his career, is capable of beating Froch & Carl knows that! If Carl displays the defense fratilities that were so clearly evident in his last outing, then Hopkins will expose him!

I'm a fan of Carl's & he has my respect, but styles make fights & I think he would be well-served to steer clear of Hopkins!

 

I'd much prefer Froch to unify with Bute, it's a far more relevant bout than a Hopkins fight.

i totally agree, Froch has balls...I think he should do Hopkins in vegas, even if he loses and doesnt get KO'd or embarassed like pavlik....it will do wonders for his carear in the long run.

 

If Froch were to wreck Hopkins it would really expose Calzaghe.
