Lirva and BA. I'm calling you out, LOL! Give me some X's and O's fellas. You seem VERY confident.

Lirva i know you like having a little flutter (they tell me you're the gambling king around here) whats say we shake E-hands on a lil something something? You might see this as "Free Money".

I'm calling it right now! There are about 4 different ways Maple leaf Bute can beat Sherwood of Nothingham (Yes i said it and it's not just the little zip of a very strong beverage talking). But i'll give you his path to least resistance: Boote will simply beat Marky Mark aka Frochy Froch to the punch and not let him get off.

This will happen over and over again, so much so that you won't believe it's the same Froch we've been watching for years. I saw all i needed to see, Bute actually retreated from the pocket three different times to drag out his friend the Road Warrior - did anyone catch that? when a fighter does this, it means he's utterly zoned in.

He has now put it all together with speed, angles, footwork, pocket work in the middle of the ring, and oh yeah that body attack. i know Froch will come super confident with that 6 foot frame, mental strenth and chin of granite, but Bute will outspeed and outclass him (why am i talking like this fight is just around the corner?) lol

Btw, I know when money is brought into things it changes the situation (hey that's a line from a Lauren Hill classic) so don't start getting funky on me. lol

You're really getting into this one, eh Slip? I've never been under the impression that you're the ''calling out'' type.:yep;)

Good posts though, I agree with what you're saying. I've noticed that - generally - whenever Froch is pitted in either a hypothetical match-up or indeed a fight that's already signed and sealed where it appears as though his back is against the proverbial wall, the majority of those who choose The Cobra to prevail don't really provide many - as you put it - X's and O's.

Be it in the build-up to the Ward fight, or the theoretical mumblings of Bute or (possibly stretching it here)Calzaghe bouts, the basis for claiming Carl will/would emerge victorious is that he ''is such a warrior'', ''gives it so much'', ''is so relentlessly British and iron-chinned'', ''is a G(which, let's face it, if we gauge on the Bronometer he isn't even in negative G-ness, he's on an entirely different measuring scale)'', or any variation of those. Sure when he's facing a small and staunch double A it's easy to provide rational as to why he can be serpent-like in his outside game and slither his way out of danger to a comfortable victory, but when faced with a stylistic nightmare? Arguments close up and basis is at a bare minimum.

Bute's talents, much like Ward's were, often get played down in my opinion due to the fact he's seen as a 168lbs stumbling block for Froch. The likes of Johnson, who Carlton was expected to deal with relatively handily, got played up a bit to enhance the magnitude of the likely win, when in reality the Glenster - as well as never being much to write hone about - was in a pretty perilous run of form wherein he had lost the majority of his more recent fights. Added to that, Bute's win over him gets downplayed, while Froch's gets hailed! I've never got that one tbh, Bute carried the Road Pensioner while winning about every round and is discredited, while Carl's unconvincing decision is lauded and placed as one of his ''quality'' wins. Well aren't we living in quite the town of Hypocrisy?

    Oh, also:

    :lol::rofl

Nonchalant stuff like this makes me laugh the most on ESB, stuff that probably isn't even intentionally funny, but is anyways to a dude in my current state.

I'm just having a little fun and messing with BA and Lirva, mate. You're right i'm NOT the calling out type. lol

I don't know, just having very little to look forward to on the boxing front with my crystal ball has me a little agitated. So the prospect of this fight happening and Bute coming out to play has me as excited as a big slut in a forrest of cocks, lol!

Btw, I agree with EVERYTHING you so eloquently laid down.

It's been quite a year. We saw Shane not go hard in the battle because he'd won the REAL war (That's landing that beautiful bit on the side). Manny allowed himself to sign peace treaties and then wound up in a technical war where he fell for all the booby traps.

    Floyd is in the pen.

    Amir's flaws continue to shine.

The Cherry Bomb has gone AWOL!

There have been more candidates for the Winky Wright self mismanagement award then in any other year.

Ortiz was use as the "Mark" and ended up making Berto the Mark. Then they switched careers again.

My prospect watch sheet is as empty as ventura avenue on Yom Kippur. Nothing much coming through at all.

And we can go on and on....

I'm not mad though because boxing is still the prettiest girl dressed up on her best day. She's just having a bad hair day at this moment and a few nasty spots on her nose. Nothing a little TLC won't fix. SWEET SCIENCE FOREVER! (hurry up friday night fights and my favourite scarface)

I hope i haven't awoken a beast in BA and Lirva, btw. Young JPabizzle. I feel like those goons in "southern comfort" lol. You seen Southern Comfort, mate?

Bored and wanting some cheap laughs I have just fired a few blanks at the local Cajun population, LOL!

Blanks are the only ammo i have and guess what? It's bad news! because the Cajuns (Lirva and BA and the rest of their crew) don't take kindly to being made fun of, lol.

    HELP! J.

I'm in unfamiliar territory, fighting an enemy speaking a language i don't know, and a culture i don't understand, I'm gumbo!

Have pity on me Lirva and BA, just pitty this little fool! lol

:rofl I feel ya, Slipadoozle, I feel ya.

''It's all set. Noleen and her bayou queens. Just a little something for morale. And let me add, Sergeant, that these women are expecting some, uh, small unit military penetration.'' - Are we talking about that Sothern Comfort my man?

If that's the case I'm sure you'll get me when I tell you that if there's four of them with automatic weapons against some swamp rat like yourself, I make it even money.;)

Boxing can have it's downsides, but even this year we've had our share of awesome fights, ignite the optimism, Slip.

It makes me laugh all these possible big fights in the future, but people have to take in to consideration is Bute ever going to fight out of his beloved montreal centre in Canada, will Bute have the bottle to fly to America and fight Ward? We all know that Froch would fight Bute in Canada or anywhere it makes sense. Everyone will see Butes character now the talking is over now the super six is over , loads of big fights for Bute lets see if he puts his money where is mouth is..

Will Ward have the bottle to leave the US and fight Bute? It goes both ways. Ward seems to be getting a pass for basically saying he wants to duck the Romanian.

In all fairness dtaylor i think Ward holds more of the cards he is the one who has earnt the right to Home fights he has just one the super six and holds the most belts.. You saying Bute should fight his whole career in Canada? :huh

Agree that Bute is the biggest puncher at 168, But Froch has never even nearly been stopped. If Booty stops Froch, that is a huge statement.

Agreed it is a massive statement, but i think a body shot late on could put Froch down

Hes fought in Romania and the United States before. When you are selling out 18,000 every fight no matter who the opponent is why should he go to the States and fight in a bingo hall in front of 2,000 people?

Carlos Monzon had a 100 fight career and only fought in the States once.Montreal is where the money is for any Super Middleweight because not only are the arenas always packed but the fights can be shown live at primetime in the States whereas Kessler can pack out in Denmark but obviously is going to be on tape delay.

    - Jpab. There were plenty of positives. To be honest i was struggling to come up with many negatives. 2011 was a good year overall. Let me apologise to my dear boxing and say it's not you it's me (nah, she has to take some of the blame too, lol).

Seriously though, the Sport has become a little like my other two favourite past times, in Bball and Hip-hop. One of my favourite sporting events use to be the NBA all star game. The all star game is just like boxing now, in a moribund state.

Boxing, NBA all star game and my beloved hip-hop are all going through the same experience.

Once the darling of all sports the sweet science is now left to gimmicks, false starts and superstars refusing to compete. It's like hip-hop because you have to wait YEARS for a decent album to be dropped and when it comes it's rejected in the market and doesn't get the success it deserves compared to all the other rubbish knocking about (i'm talking to you Lil Wayne).

2012 the sport is Tyson/Douglas. Action is needed and we're as unprepared as a virgin at a orgy like those goons in Tysons corner. The attempts to save the sport are rubber condoms filled with water that can't control the scar tissue which will imperceptibly close the eye if we don't take care.

But guess what, guess what, Jpab and the rest of the crew. Every once in a while we get an ENSWELL.

Bute/Froch or even better Ward/Bute or even better than that pac...nah i won't go there, lol is an enswell in a time of ice watered rubber condoms.

I'm cool with that, BA. I'm just having a little fun.

Absolutely no need for you to put clothes on your argument. :good
