Froch VS Calzaghe Poll

Branc Sobot 19-10 was Joe's first defence... and they didn't get much better.

I believe this guy's been on here before, and was recently exposed as a multiple-alias Calzaghe hater.

Re: the ridiculous question: Callzaghe's defence against Lacy was better than Froch's entire career so far.


Lacy was undefeated and feared at 168 and a beltholder. What he did subsequently, stemmed very much from the beating Joe laid on him.

Taylor was already beaten and brutally KO'd by the limited Pavlik. Yet he won much of the Froch fight, but, as in previous fights, ran out of steam and got KO'd while ahead.

No serious case can be made that Froch's victory over Taylor comes close to Calzaghe's over Lacy, much less Bika, Mitchell, Reid, Woodhall, Veit etc.

 

Froch beat a Middleweight who is already on the downside of his career, and Froch needed a KO to win the fight. That's not impressive at all. Beating 20 guys in a row to retain being kimg of your division is impressive.

 

i'm a big froch fan, never really liked watching calzaghe but i think calzaghe would beat froch. it would be like froch v taylor only calzaghe wouldn't gas at the end
