froch needs to call out the current champions. if he beats kessler, then call out calzaghe, but lets be honest, thats not going to happen.

Fcuk Calzaghe-Froch! Its not going happen & then sooner Froch accepts that, then sooner he will concentrate on the guys who are not retired at 168lbs or there abouts!

Mikkel Kessler is an active guy, so how about some talk of Froch-Kessler? No disrespect to Taylor who fought a great fight, but Carl could not afford a performance like that against Kessler!

    but why take it?

the mans secured his legacy, made his money and hasn't got the desire or motivation anymore. we're always saying fighters go on to long so lets applaud JC and let the man retire in peace and enjoy his life

what would Beating Froch prove, we all know he can spit better boxing then Carl and would make him look 10 times worse then taylor did only JC's got ridiculous output, great stamina and very good chin

Enzo's analysis of Froch is accurate. Calzaghe would make Froch look silly.

Froch did look very very poor for a long time in that fight, but his heart showed and it was commendable the way he dug it out

But he needs to drop the whole Calzaghe thing. It's cringeworthy and it smacks of Junior Witter/Hatton.

Froch thinks it's some righteous crusade he's on, but he's piggy backed Calzaghe's fame calling him out BEFORE he was even British champion I believe, and generally making noise without anything to back it up

Now he has a title instead of forging a career on his own, he wants to drag Calzaghe out of retirement to make a quick buck cause he couldn't draw flies to **** outside of Nottingham

I like Froch he's a decent banger, and entertaining to watch but he's got a horrible attitude and an arrogance that far outweighs his talent.

    :good

it already is a witter/hatton scenario and maybe slightly worse because there was a point when one could make an arguement for that fight and witter maybe beating hatton

i've said it before but styles make fights and JC would make Froch look as pathetic as a schoolgirl with a check book

Froch's win over Taylor actually made me think wow...calzaghe really is/was something special...

    He would embarass Froch imo...

Froch's main strength is his heart but even there he's only at best on a par with Joe...power wise I think Froch is/was overrated...he puts a lot into his shots but I don't think his power is anything more than good although it is good throughout...His defence is non-existant...if he had the handspeed to beat the other fighter to the punch it might not matter so much but he is sloooowwwww....

I don't think Joe would knock Froch out but I would back him to knock him down atleast once. Carl would be thoroughly outclassed...I reckon Froch would have a tough night against any top fighters in the division...even Lacy would give him a fight imo just because of froch's style...

yeah i get what ya saying, but in a sense, yeah manfredo had more right cos he was an acceptable nobody. he was marketable in the uk cos he'd been seen on the contender series, so he got a shot and joe had an easy night, and ya right there's loads like him on joe's record but so what? every champ has nobodies on their records. froch wasnt a big enough name. who had he really beat to justify him saying he was the best super middle around and that joe was ducking him?

Calzaghe doesn't need to come back to fight Froch. He should let Froch call him out forever as people are already getting fed up with it. Eventually Froch will need to change the record. Calzaghe is retired and deservedly so. His time has been and went.

froch was really a 'b' level fighter until he beat Taylor, and he looked like a 'b' level fighter most of the fight.

If Calzaghe still has plenty of money, he should not come back. I don't blame him if he stays retired, although I am a huge Calzaghe fans, always have been. I think he would beat Froch, but it's not worth the trouble. He wanted to retire, so he has that right.

    I would agree the JC
schools Froch for all 12 rounds.

I'd love to see him come back and batter Froch though.
Would he get credit legacy wise though?

Joe Calzaghe will land around 500 punches..over a 12 round beat down.
