If that's a genuine question, read my post in the other Froch thread. In a nutshell a new trainer with an emphasis on defence.

    Incorrect.

    Like, factually incorrect.

You're right there it wasn't impressive at all and Jones hasn't done anything impressive for a long, long time at the weight or stopped anyone even remotely decent. As mentioned before he also failed to stop a blown up, rusty as hell, retired welterweight.

Debaser I do like you... but you are been blinded by the nutz... you've got nuts in your eyes.. Taylors speed, jab and sharp boxing have always been his greatest assets..... He has always been considered a respectable puncher, he had both Hopkins and Pavlik in trouble.... but he's not a good finisher.

Calzaghe was an undisputed champion.... He NEVER defended his undisputed title. He made 21 defences... 19 of them awful and he was a decent judge away from losing to Reid and Hopkins.

Being objective, Enzo's comments on it being the worst performance by a world champion...maybe he should look at some of the fighters in his gym, meaning no disrespect at all to any of them...

It wasn't a great performance by froch but that was because he was, to some extent, out of his depth...He showed great heart to stay in the fight though and get the k.o...

I don't know why these threads comparing Froch and Calzaghe are being made though...Froch is no Calzaghe...

good call jeff,i was only looking at JC record the other day,and i remember him fighting a lot of em and thinking, who? (delaney was a good win though)
they both fought reid but at diffrent times, but he gave JC a tough fight, many thought reid won,but froch beat him in every department.
i agree with everything u say,and i think the taylor win is just below JC kessler win,but above his hop and defo above his joke fight with RJJ

    Maybe,
but one thing working against Joe is that Froch is pretty sneaky with that uppercut.
I could see Joe being in close, combo'ing away and then Froch connecting with an uppercut.

Different times? It may as well have been different centuries, how Grandpa Reid was even allowed into the ring at that point is beyond me. The Lacy and Brinkley fights showed that he was beyond done, he was burnt and shrivelled.
