Froch vs Calzaghe

Yea i agree with you all - i like froch and alot more now hes just accomplished that. but if he wants to call out Joe Calzaghe then so be it.

 

Froch would lose against most of the top Super Middles.

Andrade, great chin good work rate would stop Froch IMO

Calzaghe would dominate the man and make him look like a heavybag.

Bute, Might win he can box, and I see a wide UD there for Bute, though if he runs out of gas the way he did against Andrade he might lose but I think he can stay away from this guy long enough the work rate of Froch is that low.

Miranda, I think he might actually have a shot here as well.

Green would destroy him faster hands shorter sharper shots Green would kill this guy.

I just dont see Froch doing so well against the top SMWs

 

Froch is beating a dead horse with the Calzaghe thing. He's after making a name for himself in his last 2 fights. Keep this form up and try to make your own legacy. 168 is not short of quality fights to make. Calzaghe is done.

 

Froch has a granite chin he proves it every fight and thats how hes made it to the top with quite poor defense. He gets countered most of the fight, while gruelling them down and eventually stands toe to toe trading and normally wins as he can take their shot but they cant take his.

Whereas he wont be able to hit Joe and if he does he'll be hitting granite. Us Brits ay, tough as they come.

I dont see it, Honestly I just dont, the man is known for having a great chin but just how good is that chin? Honestly getting decked by Taylor is not a good sign neither.

I think he has a decent chin but the kind you all make it out to be, I have to disagree.

 

Agree with Jonoli's assessment of the calzaghe/RJJ fight, scorecards were too far in Calzaghe's favour.

Joe won every single round after the second, with the second being close.

That's 10-8 and one 10-9 for Jones, rest for Calzaghe.

 

so what of he got decked, i think just about everyone agrees margorito has the best chin in boxing but he got dropped by mosely does that mean his chin aint great? it dont mean **** at the end of the day if anyone eats enough leather you go down. i think his got a very good chin because if he didnt the amount of shots he took in that fight he should have been decked alot more

 

its not about who have they beaten its about what you see, Look Taylor has looked like dog **** since he beat Hopkins, I mean it seems that every fight since first facing Hopkins has been a life and death struggle for him.

Maybe his peak was just that short who knows what I can say is that Taylor is no where near the same as he has been when he fought Bhop.
I aint trying to take from Froch he did win the fight but can we honestly say that he looked world class?

No we cant, the man had no balance he doesnt have a good jab and if anything he didnt use much of a jab, a guy like Green would destroy him IMO, I know you guys want me to say other wise, but I just cant, what I saw last night was a very winnable fight that Taylor allowed to get away~

I did not see a threat at all in Froch and even though he stopped Taylor in the final round, I wouldnt say that was his doing, or that he set that up, the problem is and the fact is, Taylor falls asleep at the drivers seat in almost every fight and its costed him again.

there are other top SMWs out there that will not fall asleep and that will not allow this man to steal rounds with those funny wide shots, and that low work rate, its just a matter of time.

Joe C beats the life out of him but probably breaks a hand
the rest of the top SMW all stand a good chance in beating this man, its one thing to have a good chin and no defense, but when you add a very low work rate to it, well dont be surprised when the truth comes out.

No disrespect to Froch though as Calzaghe beats everyone from 168lbs to 175lbs.
