I think both guys are limited, but of the two, IMO (thats all it is) Chavez is better at what he does, than what Carl does. I rate Froch for what he is, but I still think he is punching above his weight, but deserves to be there none the less because of what he is about. A tough cookie but skill wise lacking, but the rest of his game makes up for it.

Chavez was heavily protected for a number of years, and like you say, he really aint that good. But I have to say, I believe he could beat Froch.

As for Froch boxing his head of, I dont see it? The only ever time Froch has boxed someones head of at this level was against a vastly overrated Arthur Abraham......I haven't seen him box someones head of for 12 rounds other than that fight at this level.

.....and on two occasions, Froch himself was completely out boxed. Ward and Taylor.

For somebody who is clearly a clever, decent bloke you don't half talk a load of **** when it comes to boxing.

Bute is a much bigger puncher then Chavez Jr. There's no way he'd stop Froch. No way whatsoever. I can't believe that non-trolls are actually favouring him. He'd get the beating of a lifetime.

Chavez would take a beating here. Froch would be teeing off on his face from the first bell. Chavez has a great chin but I expect the referee would be required to step in sometime after the halfway mark. A perfect style match-up for Froch, this one's not remotely difficult to call.

Ward and Kessler would see Chavez off easily too, but Bute would be an interesting fight for him, as would Groves.

I expect Chavez would be too strong for both Barker and Macklin, but no way for the top dogs at 168.

Incidentally a term I would associate with Chavez Jr :yep

Froch was not "completely" out-boxed against Taylor, I'm sensing more hate toward Carl Froch than I am admiration for Chavez Jr here :good

I would give Darren Barker an excellent chance of beating Jr personally

It's debatable who the bigger puncher is but we all know who has the bigger heart and the better chin and that's Chavez jr.Like I said itll be a more competitive fight than you think Froch is not going to be able to bang him out early like he did with Bute and we've seen from the Martinez fight what can happen if you get reckless.

One sided beat down?? Reall?. Not even the great Martinez could give him a beat down, Martinez dominated him no doubt but it wasn't a beat down!

Froch could out box him, but he wouldn't dent Chavez's chin.... In a war Chavez would take it, but Froch fights smart he takes it.

Bute is a much bigger hitter then Chavez Jr. When has Chavez Jr ever ruined somebody as resilient as Andrade? Once Bute matured into a world class fighter, and yes he was most definitely world level, he only failed to stop the likes of Bika and Johnson.

Chavez Jr's so called massive power comes from flooring a knackered Martinez and stopping Andy Lee. I don't remember Zbik having been remotely bothered by his power. Furthermore Froch will definitely be the biggest puncher Chavez Jr has ever fought. Carl isn't quite the devastating puncher that he looked at domestic level, but he isn't as deficient in that department as some make out.

Martinez wasn't 'reckless' he was exhausted. And carrying an injury if I recall correctly.

I'm surprised at the amount of people that think Froch has a good jab, i think its terrible. Looks very slow and half arsed when he throws it. Take away Carl's chin and he is very beatable. Lunging his way inside nearly always means he gets caught, someone like Chavez could easily time Froch and land a bomb.

    No mate.

Carl Froch was out boxed by Taylor for 9-10 rounds. OK Froch showed the heart of the champion at the end of the fight, and never gave up. But he was still out boxed.

The best fight I've seen Froch fight was against Abraham. I'm sure he will admit that himself. He out boxed Abraham in a punch perfect fight. With "punch perfect punches":lol::lol:

Some will of course say Bute, and that was also a great performance while it lasted. Against another vastly over rated and protected fighter.

I'm just being real. I rate Carl Froch, just not as highly as some. I'm not "hating".....I don't have favorites in boxing. I support the sport, not individual fighters. :good

That 'terrible' jab pretty much won him his first world title against Jean Pascal.

And? Take away the main attribute from any fighter and they'd be a lesser force. Look how Roy Jones Jr fared after his phenomenal athelticism deserted him. How about Jr fights at light heavy? I think you'd find that he'd be pretty beatable once his best asset, his size, is nullified.

What if Jr did catch Carl? He's hardly the second coming of Julian Jackson is he. Froch's has taken flush shots of Bute, Kessler, Abraham, Pascal ... he's not going to be bothered by Jr.

Don't be a baby. Take your own advice - be humble. Man up. Quit seeking to make excuses ('can't be arsed'). You lost to a better man - deal with.

I'm not racist btw. I just don't like it when people make excuses.
