    Who wins?

Ward beat the crap out of Dawson... to the extent that Chad quit although he was uninjured or shaken... he was just getting mauled round after round...

Ward beat Froch with an injured hand, and while he won almost every round, he was never about to stop or truely dominate Carl. He just won round after round because Froch couldn't really get anything off.

    ...

But Froch vs Dawson is a different fight all together.... very interesting match-up I think.

Normally on here i'll try and analyse a fight properly and break it down.

This time, it's simple imo. Ward hurt and stopped Dawson pretty emphatically. Carl Froch hits much harder than Andre Ward and would ****ing destroy Dawson inside 6 rounds.

I know that's a ridiculously simplistic way of looking at it and triangular logic doesn't work in boxing, but that really is how i see this fight going. Dawson doesn't have the physical or mental toughness to deal with someone as hungry as Froch, especially at a weight which would compromise him.

Depends how Dawson can bounce back. Ideally he'd out-box Froch in a competitive but clear decision, turning into his jab and relying on straight punches from the outside. Froch has a knack for jumping in to time that lead right hand, however, and it worked wonders against a southpaw in Bute. Froch isn't a tremendous puncher but he hits hard enough to put Dawson in trouble. Interesting match-up, have to wait for the fight with Pascal to make a prediction.

Nobody cares to see Dawson below 175 again.

Froch beats him worse than he beat Bute.

    :deal

    Dawson was drained.

That being said, Froch is not a good match up for Dawson.

Dawson is also fragile mentally. I wrote about a whole page on this in the past.

How do you think Dawson re-acts when he lands a pure and flush left hand on Froch, who then grins at him with delight? Dawson shits his pants.

At 170lbs, Froch walks through him in eight.

I'll go with Froch. Dawson is not as mentally strong as ward and not as dynamic as Dirrell to trouble froch. i think he gets the Bute treatment and get's TKO'd about 8-9

    The weight would effect Dawson

    Froch walks through Dawson

You know like he walked through Taylor, Dirrell and Ward

    Yeah right.

If Dawson is not drained he wins a comfortable decision.

Of course, you are defending your boy's former opponent. Fact is Dawson was terribly drained against Ward and that affects punch resistance dramatically. Ward would have won easily anyway but his punches wouldn't have affected Dawson that much.

Never said he wasn't drained. Dawson fought Diancanu, Johnson, Pascal, and Adamek. Yet Ward finishes him? Definitely drained.

I don't think Froch matches up with educated boxers with movement and a jab.
