True. However, according to the rules you do lose points for illegal ducking. Ducking with your face towards the ground and ducking in the waist (instead of in the knees with your face towards the opponent) is illegal and Dirrell did this repeatedly.
On the Showtime telecast, Gus Johnson was squealing like a woman whenever Dirrell threw a punch. Antonio Tarver was also clearly slanting his commentary towards Dirrell.
Tarver, is ok.....but gus johnson was horrible, he couldnt quit sucking dirrell's dick, al bernstein called him out on it, and johnson just kept sucking....
Yes. You are talking about boxing. People here don't like boxing. They prefer meatheaded and talentless aggression. They are fans of violence, not of boxing. The only reason they watch boxing is because it is often violent. They should **** off and watch pro wrestling or monster trucks, cause they sure as **** aren't boxing fans. "Froch won, not because he actually landed more punches, not because he did more damage, not because he was technically better, not because he was defensively better, not because he controlled the fight, not because of ring generalship, not because of any of the things that actually get scored in this thing called boxing - he won because we was more aggressive!!!1!" ****ing meatheads.
We all know how difficult it is to get a decision in Britain. Im not surprised by the outcome. If you want to walk out of there with a W, you have to KO somebody.
Because most of the people at the fight were bias English who went there in the hope Froch would do the business.. when in reality he got made do look garbage..
There's no rule about ducking from the waist. There is a rule about ducking so low that your head is below your opponents beltline, but as with all rules in boxing, it's only a foul if it's called (kind of like how bodyslams, holding and hitting, rabbit punches and elbows weren't a foul because the Ref didnt' call Froch on any of them).
Effective Aggression, Clean Punches, Ring Generalship. Froch split the first 2 with Dirrel and clearly had the 3rd portion dominately. Finally score 113/111 Froch. SD. And to note. Tarver is a moron with his statement of "it depends on what the judges are looking for". Complete BS because all of the sanctioning bodies look for those 3 things. Why couldn't he comment that if he hadn't be scarred he would have won the fight?
I actually have it a close fight, and hard to score to be honest. That being said, Dirrell did impress me a bit.... he said himself he was nervous going in, the kids had 18 fights, in hostile territory against a champion, and i think he doesnt have a whole lot to be ashamed about. I do think its hard to claim victory when your retreating, complaining, and falling about like he was.... but he shined brilliantly here and there, and put on some awsome displays. This kid is FAST..... i mean, FAST. This is true speed... not just quickness, but pure, true... speed. Am interested in how he matches up down the stretch (like every fight in the SS) and i think he might match up well against AA but we will see.
So..........Dirrell fans believe that boxing is falling down on canvas, holding, running, and complaining. OK, nexy time a Euro does that, they should award him the fight. Always remember, in a boxing match, do not fight, just run, hold, complain and fall down on canvas. Froch will lose to Kessler or Abraham.
So Dirrell got exposed cause he was outlanding Froch in every round, even hurting him a couple of times ? This wasn´t a fair decision. Froch got schooled by Dirrell, but got a gift decision. Abraham will knock him out.
